Rumor I have heard is that his family may have accepted money for flight to the Rose Bowl which could be season ending suspension.

What is the issue?

He accepted a loan from a family friend and repaid it.

Hmmm doesn't sound like much if that is all it is. Only question would be where did he get money to pay off a loan, while a student athlete?

Sounds like OSU self reported this which would be the best possible scenario and they are just being cautious. But I don’t know, expect the worst and hope for the best. Maybe we can get #FreeChaseYoung trending on twitter today.

If it’s truly just for a flight for his family then it couldn’t be more than $1000 or so. These players get a cost of living stipend so it could have simply been a matter of Chase waiting to get that money before repaying for the flights.

I know nothing about this, but please elaborate. What you say is not a violation of anything.

And for the record, I hate these stupid rules. Universities and the NCAA make millions off guys like Chase Young, yet players are forced to go through loopholes to get family members flights?

Chase Young just released a tweet that JA was paraphrasing.

Gotcha, thanks.

When you work for the NCAA you can’t accept anything, including loans.

So in short, he or other person close to him took money from someone he shouldn't have last year, who is now a "family friend" that his family met upon enrolling at OSU.
