Your not seeing the light here at all. You don't think its a problem, when a 3A (smaller divison school) located in NKY being (CovCath) would have given Trinity a better game tonight. Then a 4A (largest division) also in NKY? Its not fate, luck, hope.. there's a reason for it.

Maybe you are the one that won't see. How do you explain tiny little Highlands beating NKY4A schools on a regular basis? Or Beechwood for that matter. You guys have to look inward and try to solve your issues. I have been preahing for a couple of years now that NKY4A is too one-dimensional. I stated this week, what happens if the Rocks shut down Murray? What is plan B? Well we found out tonight. I knew if an NKY4A team couldn't win with Alexander, then they most likely couldn't win. Newsflash, Male would have had a similar result against Ryle.

One question. Where was all this crying when X beat Scott County 49-6 in 2004?

You can't make the mistakes that Ryle did and expect to beat Trinity.

we were talking about this...and if you add to that their style of play, in compounds the difficulty, expecially with us on a short field much of the night...

 

 

Ryle came out and opened up with a brilliant play action boot pass....that was dropped, it could've gone for 70 and a touch...just dropped.

Exactly, the 3A teams are BETTER then the 4A teams. There's your reason.

Did the team that beat Trinity win the state title in Tennessee?

Nope...they didn't even make the playoffs, but they were crippled with key injuries....if we didn't lose to them...we might not have refocused and got #17 done...

No school, public or private, going to get to the next level when parents/boosters spend more time whining about opponents' advantages (real or perceived) than they do looking in the mirror. Take a page from the Male or Highlands philosophy: Dedicate yourselves to being even better each and every year. They've got championship trophies to show for it.

No one will ever convince me of the fact that Boone with all those great teams 88-94 did not have really good and some great players.

I agree 900%......Boone was flat awesome (skill wise) in 1994 when we dominated them...they threw two passes, a screen to Mainey...and a HB pass from Shaun that got picked...that will never work against us.

Petrino killed us with his scrambling tonight, he's tough, but it was a fun athmosphere still, and both teams had a great season!

When I saw that pass almost go flawlessly I was really concerned. I am surprised they didn't try to run more plays like it tonight. I think this game could have been much closer if the playcalling had been more creative on Ryle's part. It just seemed to me that no matter what happened there was no abandoning the Power-I up the middle running game.

 

 

 

Great to see Trinity take #17 though! Also fun to see a number of other BGPers there. Good to see Watusi, Rockmom, TonyDanza, Getslow, goherd96, and RockPride from a distance. :walk:

 

Hope to see more tomorrow night at the 3A game.
