Why do people fail to acknowledge the game Tashaun McBroom had that day?

 

I'm not 100% on the numbers, but I think he had double-degit receptions, 4-5 TDs, 300 yards receiving.

 

That's a heck of a game for anyone.

 

Because someone had to throw the ball to him!

Floyd Branham, linebacker for Middlesboro, completely dominated the 1998 Class A title game against Mayfield. Middlesboro won 27-6. I'm not sure on the numbers, but it seemed like he made every single tackle. I've been going to state championship games for several years and his performance was the best defensively that I have seen.

I can think of 16 great ones... But if I had to pick one, I would have to say Brohm vs Bush, 59-56 Game!

All discussion is about the #2 performance. Brohm v Bush is the landslide winner...

Charles Penix of Danville in the 2003 title game was a pretty good one.

DaDa Walker from Danville in 1987. As a freshmen he blocks the extra point in overtime to seal a 24-23 victory over Mayfield. Thus, the great post-season rivalry began. Probably the most exciting finish to a title game EVER!!!

The combined 501 yards total rushing between Charles Penix (who had 300 or so himself) and Kelvin Turner were enough to give me nightmares for an entire year . . . . . . . .

If memory serves he scored the TD in the OT for Danville. All as a freshman. He was a great talent that threw it all away his Junior year.

I remember that game well....He did play a whale of a game, but, the Jackets were sworming the whole game as it seemed like 4 or 5 people were making tackles on every play....I also remember there kicker had a great leg and on about every kickoff, the Cards were starting on there own 20 after a touchback...The 2 RBs weren't too shabby either...Overall, a very good MBoro team...

Devils running game last year , special teams and defensive effort without lock down corner Mike Horn ....

In my opinion it would have to be in 1996 when Breathitt came in against the states leading rusher Derek Holmer. In the first half Derek ran all over Breathitt. The second half was totally different, Breathitt shut them down and won in overtime. I can't remember the score...........Or maybe in 2002 when Justin Haddix lead Breathitt into Papa Johns needing 2 touchdown passes to own the state record for most touchdown passes in a season. Again Breathitt was playing against a killer running game in Corbin. Jared Lawson I believe the kids name was(#42) was completely shut down and Breathitt ran away with it 51-0

I was impressed with Jacob Tamme against the Rock in 01 I believe. He made several key plays early on that really changed the tempo of the game...

In watching that game, he was definitely the difference maker.

Tamme had a great game that day. He's only like 5 inches taller than anybody that was covering him. Not taking anything away from Tamme. I'm just saying.

 

But I was going to say, also in the Rock vs Boyle game from '01 was Jason Leger from the Rock. I don't know his stats, but he was a sophmore and UK wanted him right then. After watching his performance that day, they said they'd be back in 2 years.
