Unbelievable.

It was an opinion, by the way I think that some of your post on here are are "unbelevable" but I try to just state my opinion as to why I disagree and not call your post out by a disrespectful "unbelievable" statement:rolleyes: . If that is where this thread is going now:sleep: I will let you have it.:D

That was a tough game to watch last night....I had to decide between Friday Night Lights and the second half of the UK game...What has the world come to. Sheray Thomas takes minutes that someone that could be productive should have. Bobby Perry, there is a reason that he got out of Durham without and offer from the hometown school......I really like the Porter kid. Jasper, Meeks and Stevenson are very good but I really like the Porter kid, I think he will do some big things before he leaves UK. Randolph played with a sense of urgency last night, nice to see that and Crawford step his hustle up last night. Anyone else think that Coury might be a better player than "Woo"?

 I'm 5'9" 40 pounds overweight can't jump or run and I'm better than Woo.:p

I think Perry will contribute to the team, he is just in a slump right now. Thomas will never contribute.

I would continue to start Stevenson and help his development if I were the decision maker.

I think Stevenson will play more and must get physically stronger, but he's not ready for 40 minutes. Still have to give the minutes to someone, that you take away from Thomas.

Match-up problems will occur, on the defensive end especially.

No your not, you ball-handling skills have diminished, weak skip passes and you can't go to your right laterally.

Your conditioning is suspect and footwork on the baseline, is too slow....:D

It would be different if we didn't have any other option besides Thomas, but we do. If he plays, it should be sparingly.

We'd absolutely be better off playing a small lineup with 3 guards if that was the only alternative. You say the small lineup would hurt our rebounding...I say we aren't rebounding anyway (Sheray Thomas surely isn't making an impact in that regard). You say it would hurt us defensively...I say the last time I checked Sheray wasn't locking people down inside.

Derrick Jasper rebounds better than Sheray. If he were inserted into the lineup (along with Bradley, Crawford, Perry, and Morris), I bet our rebounding wouldn't be any worse, and it could possibly improve.

Besides, with our rebounding deficiency, it seems that going small and upping the tempo would help to counter that to some extent. Of course, that is only dreaming, because I don't think upping the tempo is in Tubby's arsenal.

Until Tubby lands some decent big men or changes his style, we're going to be searching for answers to these same questions on a yearly basis.

Don't you see Jasper and Stevenson getting more playing time, as the season progresses and perhaps, filling the role you just mentioned.

Meeks will develop and get even better, with each of the 3 taking more minutes away from Thomas and Perry, I believe as the season goes.

Fans have to remember, its a season and journey....got to prepare for the long, grueling SEC games and try to improve everyone. Early games give coaches an idea of who can, can't and need improvement....that was game #6.

Exactly.

1) Jasper, Stevenson, Meeks, and Porter are all better than Sheray Thomas RIGHT NOW. I shouldn't even need to mention that their potential is astronomically higher than Thomas'.

2) The more playing time these guys get now (particularly Stevenson in this case, since he plays the same position as Sheray), the better prepared and just plain better they're going to be later in the season.

3) Sheray Thomas is a senior. If he were going to improve, I think he would have done it by now. To me, he looks like the same guy that showed up as a freshmen...and if anything, he's regressed. What's the point in playing him 26 minutes when you could be getting some valuable PT for a any one of a group of freshmen, or even Jared Carter, who actually might improve and help down the road?

So, to sum it up, Thomas hasn't improved since he's been there. Why not give some of the younger guys a chance? It could only help later in the season when the games really count...we know what we're going to get with Sheray.

Good Defensive game by the Wildcats. Nice to see SWAT score 14 on 7 of 7 shooting. Get after the Tar Heels Saturday and get a W. Also, should be an interesting matchup between SWAT and Brandan Wright.

I can still shoot the three and catch the ball.

Oh, I must have misinterpreted your intentions because I could have sworn that this was calling my post out:

As for an earlier poster stated about a bad pass in Maui with the game on the line ......I guess the poster or anyone on here has ever thrown a bad pass or misssed an assignment in a game in their entire life.

If that wasn't intended to mean that I was the "poster", then I apologize. I was only calling you out because it appeared that you were calling me out first. Sorry.

Hopefully SWAT can do something actually in this big game. I know he has looked AWESOME against schools like Charleston, but when we played UCLA and Memphis who actually had some big guys down low with him, he didn't look good at all...That is why most of you need to realize is that we need Thomas on this team to do well, because Stevenson isn't quite there yet. Now Thomas shouldn't be getting as much minutes over Stevenson like he did last night, but still we need Thomas. And for the people saying they would like to see Coury get more minutes over Thomas, I have to say is you all are nuts. If you all dont like Thomas Coury will completely drive you nuts this year. I think Coury one day could be a good player for us, but not this year...

Thomas needs to get about 10 minutes per game. Coming in for 2:30 bursts to give a blow to Stevenson

I say 18 to 20 minutes for both of them. Maybe once Stevenson starts showing something against actual good schools with people inside then I would give him even more minutes. In Maui these schools who had actual athletic big men like him, he didn't do so well...

Memphis and UCLA had some wide bodies down low. They will give him trouble. Wright, at 200 lbs. is not a wide body. SWAT has him outweighed by 5 lbs. They are the same type player. Yes, Thomas can help. He needs about 15 minutes per game. I just feel Stevenson is ahead of Thomas in all facets except strength and experience. SWAT will get another 20 lbs. put on him next summer and probably play next year at 225 lbs.

I watched the 1st 25 minutes of the game last night and I thought that Thomas did play good defense in that time. He was in good defensive position most of the game and did a good job. I cant speak about the last 15 minutes, but he did play well early.

I agree that he doesnt need to play more than Stevenson, but Thomas isnt out there getting us beat either. I think you guys are a little over the top with your criticism. He hasnt been very good by any means, but he does some positive things.

I think I might be a better player than Woo.

Now that is the funniest post I have ever seen.
