It's football time in the Bluegrass State! I am a guy that loves to travel around, watch key matchups and big time players. This year I want to add in another factor for which games I will attend, food!

 

Make the case for the BEST concession item your school does. What's the cost, etc.

A handful of years ago I attended a game and had one of the best brats I've ever had. The school escapes me now, but, maybe Raceland?

I think Louisville Central is known to have great Fish Sandwiches! I had one about 5 years ago and it was good.

It very well could have been Raceland. They've long had a reputation for having the best concessions in NEKY.

Over the years being on the sidelines, I have found that the biggest distraction for me on the road is not the home fans or an annoying press box announcer. It is the smell of some really good concession food!

Raceland does have some really good concessions. Fleming Co. several years ago had a great one with pork tenderloin and ribeye steak sandwiches, but haven't been there in several years. I drove a bus for over 20 years for our football team one of the best we eat at was at Belfry. There fans put on a heck of a tailgating spread and they myself and the other driver eat with them. It was awesome!

It's always a treat when you go on the road and the concessions are above and beyond the usual fare like hotdogs and nachos.

$5 pork chop sandwiches grilled by the baseball team at the Bardstown Tiger football games. The chops are from Boone's Butcher Shop in Bardstown and marinated in their special marinade. Enormous chops, twice the size of the bun. Might as well be crack they are so addictive.

Scott High has the best chili, we always play them late in the year, and a bowl of there chilli hits the spot.

As much as I hate going there, Male has an incredible burger. I eat one before halftime, and buy another to take home.

I like the burgers at St.X. They grill them before and during the game, plus have tomato, onion, and lettuce out along with ketchup and mustard.

I tried a burger from there last friday and it was really good and only $3. Now I'm curious about the brats mentioned earlier, maybe they'll have those this week.
