When you & your friends got together to play a sport in your neighborhood or at someone's house, what was your favorite sport to play?

 

Mine was tennis ball. Basically it was baseball with a tennis ball and aluminum bat. I can't imagine how much we played that back in the day.

Basically once you got tackled, you'd toss the ball up in the air and whoever was brave enough to pick it up, would scoop it up and try to score. :lol2:

Actually, it was many sports. It was whatever allowed me to spend time with and compete with my friends.

We called it something else, that looking back, wasn’t so politically correct.

We played forms of baseball (wiffle ball, pickle, pepper etc), football, and basketball (usually 21 or as we called it “hustle”).

King of the Hill was a good one too. We actually had a big yard in the neighborhood that was perfect for it.

Many...whiffle ball, strike out, basketball, baseball, tackle football, as well as many other invented games such as kick nerf ball in small backyard that played out much like baseball. In Covington with small back yards and narrow side yards we had to be creative so many versions of baseball were played out with even such things as a ping pong ball and bat.
