June 30, 20197 yr Matt Jones Tweeted out he has heart and kidney issues as well as infection. Family is asking for prayers and are staying with him. He had felt bad for a few weeks and went to hospital on Friday and was placed in ICU.
June 30, 20197 yr I posted about this not too long ago in another thread. It's hard not to imagine that this isn't related to Jared's weight and the strain that has put on his heart and the rest of his body. KSR's Matt Jones is reporting that Jared's family has told Jones that Jared is currently in the ICU battling an infection, kidney & heart issues. He went to the hospital on Friday after "a few weeks" of not feeling well. The didn't give any further details, but this is really concerning. Unchecked high blood pressure causes kidney failure (blood pressure problems are one of the primary causes for most longterm dialysis patients being in their positions), and kidneys not functioning properly causes massive infections and septicemia.
June 30, 20197 yr Author Love J-Lo. My favorite Cat, and just a great person. Prayers for him and his family.
July 1, 20197 yr The part that concerned me was the part that said he was surrounded by his family. Hopefully, things work out. I'm not a huge UK fan ,but for some.reason. I always like Jared.
July 1, 20197 yr Concerned that things don't seem to be improving just yet. Hoping for a quick turnaround for Jared and his family.
July 2, 20197 yr KSR's Matt Jones has an Update from Jared's family today on twitter. It says Jared is still on Dialysis. His Cardiac and renal issues remain but his treatment has been effective. Jared is still very Sick but developing some traction,Remains a fighter. Jared's family thanks everyone for their support and prayers. That is a general breakdown of the update.

Dialysis...like I was guessing :( Certainly beats the worst case scenario, but I really hope they can get his kidneys back to normal function. Dialysis is a miserable lifestyle...you're looking at a 3-4 hour visit to a dialysis clinic 3+ times a week for renal replacement therapy. They're literally cycling your blood out of your body, and cleaning out all the "bad stuff" like your kidneys are meant to do, and then cycling the blood back into you. Not only does that take a serious amount of time, it also wipes out the patients for much of the day after the fact. Really hoping for the best here, for Jared's sake.
