I was thinking the same thing when I first saw the list. Unless you're from Owensboro, you probably don't think of them as a baseball school. But clearly they were at one point. They packed a lot of winning into a 25 year span that ended over 30 years ago.

And the gap between the top 3 to 4 is fairly substantial as well.

 

There's definitely a top tier and then everyone else.

Another thing that caught my attention was how pretty much all of the numbers you see listed for PRP (#1) and Harrison County (#4) can be attributed to just two men, Bill Miller and Mac Whitaker. Speaks volumes about their stature in this sport.

Just looking at the championships since 1995...I'd guess that the top 2 spots would stay the same. (PRP with 5, St. X with 3) After that, perhaps Harrison County moves up to #3, since they've got 3 titles in the past 25 years. The other big mover could be Lexington Catholic, who also happens to have 3 titles. So, it'd be interesting to see if that matches up with what @gchs_uk9 would come up with.

FWIW, the three schools that consolidated to make McCracken all had good success as well. Heath ranked 71st, Reidland 72nd, and Lone Oak 80th. Those three combined to win 19 regional championships.
