This may shock you but I look at the schedule and I see only one loss the rest of the way until the Florida game at home and that is UNC. I don't think any other team on our schedule besides UNC until the Florida game can hang with us. Maybe Tennessee but I seriously doubt it.

Close to it.

Then they should win it every year.

Our losses were to top-ranked opponents with LITTLE game prep and a short, short turnaround...like the SEC and NCAA tourney.

So, its not the end of the world.... :cool:

The freshman guard play has the potential to be spectacular and the best play in years, IMO. :thumb:

Perhaps the best guard combos in the country in years to come.

Tubby's recruiting style of quick/talented guards also helps his defensive strategy. which we all know leads to wins.

Seems that UK hasn't been consistent with an inside POWER presence (other then Morris) to contribute along with great guard play and defense.

The "sticks" just don't get it done.

We usually have one good post player at a time and if he fouls out, the guards have to start jacking up shots.

Hayes was good but had no compliment except Morris' Freshman year.

Morris is good but I question his compliments. (Perry and Thomas???)

Erik Daniels with Marquis Estill was decent.

Jason Parker..well we all know that story.

Perhaps Stevenson will break that trend. I had high hopes for Jared Carter.

Someone to draw fouls, rebounds, manhandle some people, be a force to double team and free up the guards.

Inside play against the cats:

UNC = Tyler Hansborough, Reyshawn Terry

Florida beats us for a 3rd or 4th time = Joakim Noah

Indiana = DJ White

LSU = Big Baby

Memphis = Dozier

UCLA = Mata, Mbah

UCONN = Rudy Gay

Michigan State = Paul Davis

That is not exactly true, Hayes had Estill who was a very good center for us. Then in 03 Hayes had Daniels who really filled himself out nicely for his senior season to be our center. Last year and now this year really stick out because we dont have someone to really go with Morris. Stevenson is going to be a good one, but he still has alot to improve on. What really has hurt us the most is we have NO BACKUPS at all for the inside positions...

lets not forget about Brandan Wright and Deon Thompson down in the paint for UNC as well

The last sentence is the most accurate and what I should have stated from the get go.

I brought up Marquis and Daniels.... just not with Hayes during that 2003 team. They were great together.

The three of them were VERY good rebounders.

Marquis was blocking shots like crazy.

He drew LOTS of fouls...just didn't make his shots! :eek:

Hayes was still young and upcoming.

I went 10-13, but by the end of the NCAA Tourny, I figure it will be close to the 13 mark, if not over.

With the way UK is playing, I think that they will loose at least 10 games, they cant keep their leads or put teams away like they should

No need to jump ship yet people, this team WILL BE alright!

Let some jump, they are just looking for reason to.....some like to stir, others like to coach and all over, a team that is 15-5, lost to 2-#1's, Memphis, Vandy and yes, to Georgia a game they had well in hand.

I've said it before, some UK "fans', can or never will be happy.

UK will end up 21-9, in the regular season....in my opinion.

So are you predicting a 10-loss season or a SEC AND NCAA national championship?:sssh:
