What's the attendance been like at Sweet 16?

The Rupp Arena court has the ability to be converted to high school size.

After tonight's game, they will put the additional panels in for the UK/Florida game tomorrow afternoon, and then take those panels out for the high school games Saturday evening.

The court is converted to 84 feet (high school size) for the Sweet Sixteen.

This is not correct.

Using the college court because of UK game on Saturday.

These numbers must be based on tickets sold, because the people are not in the seats, I have attended all six sessions.

Session 5 had a nice crowd.

It is always based on tickets sold.

Any ticket sold is money in the coffers. If those people don't show up to the game the KHSAA still has their money.

When was the last time they used an 84 ft. floor, to the best of my knowledge it has been many years.

Late-70s at Freedom Hall, maybe? I don't ever recall it at Rupp and the tournament has been in Lexington every year but four since 1979.

Yeah, that's my thoughts also.

I don't believe Mr. Tackett is here again unless he is sitting some where else.

I have seen it at Rupp, but I can't tell you the last time. I've been going for about 40 years and it seems they all are beginning to run together.

It is definitely a college length floor. I was at the UK game and the games tonight. No difference.

All you have to do is look to see where the sideline hashmarks are.

On the college sized floor the hashmarks are between the center stripe and the top of the key. On a high school floor, the hashmarks are much closer to center court.

How does that attendance compare to previous years?

Josh Moore of LHL reported it was 500 less than last year's total ticket sales.

I want the Sweet 16 to succeed, but this delights me. I can't wait to see what inside the box idea Mr. Tackett comes up with next to fix things.
