I think the kids would rather play in front of FULL stands then be on TV. If you start the game at 2 then the number of fans from Louisville will be down and IMVHO that is unfair to the kids.

Which could work to HC's advantage, could this have something to do with it?

This game scares me to death. All you have to do is look at the Louisville - Rutgers game and the Rutgers - Cincy game to see how dangerous it can be the week after such an emotional win. The team will need to maintain very strict focus this entire week. Can anyone from Lexington fill us in on what Henry Clay likes to do?

Nothing great, but everything good

I don't think the KHSAA will allow the game time to be changed unless both teams are in agreement. A side from that , it would be unfair to the other semi that would be played at night. The whole coaching staff from the afternoon winner to take in the other semi isn't fair either. (the evening game staff couldn't see the afternoon game with travel and then preparation for their game as well.) I think that this is a very one sided suggestion .

For those who may be wondering why the Thanksgiving Day practice is being mentioned so much, let me try to explain. It means first of all that Trinity has made it to the semi-final game of the state. It is the team's last practice before the game and is held on T-day morning. It is attended by parents , relatives, fans, former players (many of the recent ones in town for Thanksgiving break from college), former coaches and anyone else who has an interest in Trinity football. Tickets for the game are sold and travel plans for out-of-town games are made. Hot chocolate, coffee, doughnuts etc. are provided, usually for free (donations are accepted) by the Shamrock Moms, a Trinity support group.

It is a relaxed, convivial occasion where old acquaintances are renewed and new ones are made, all in an atmosphere of one common bond: Trinity football. People talk about the team, the season to date, the upcoming game, get caught up with each other's families, etc. At the risk of sounding oxymoronic, it is somewhat like a subdued pep rally among folks of all ages and backgrounds. Depending on the weather, probably 400 - 600 people attend, not counting players. It is an event that has been happening for, I'm estimating, 15 years. I don't think it was ever formally planned. it just happened and evolved. It is a fun time and people look forward to it as a great start to their Thanksgiving Day and the semi-final game.

Well said my Trinity brother. Like I have said many times before "If you are not part of the Trinity family you just don't get it and probably never will"

Go "ROCKS"

The Rocks will have to wheather the emotoinal storm that will be HC. Home field, last years loss etc... Good pressure from the Rock D-line on Friday will go along way to determining this outcome. I have heard from several good Lexington sources that this is a good HC team and they stress the word team. Time will tell.

I think Trinity is the better team. However, the better team doesn't always win but in this case I think it does.

Two of the best wide outs in the state in Minnifield and Jeter. I think that both of them will be in the Kentucky All Star Game but that's my opinion. They have Boyd who is a Junior wide out who is about about 6'7 or so. He is very tall but they don't throw the ball his way as much as the other two. Gay is their runningback who is pretty solid and they rotate their starting quarterback with Minnifield from time to time. They are in shotgun about 90% of the time and run the Tony Franklin offense.

Henry Clay can score a lot of points. I think this past week they over looked Clark a little bit and Clark went after a Henry Clay weakness and that was their defensive line. Clark ran the ball well and ate up A LOT of clock. If Trinity establishes the running game they will win. Henry Clay has a lot of speed in the defensive backfield but the are not nearly as good at stopping the run.

Very, very good point.

Aaron Boyd is 6'4" while standing on the ground.

If he stands on two phone books he would probably be 6'7" or so.

Someone that has seen HC please tell me about their QB. I firmly believe at this level at this time of year a team's QB is the difference maker. Trinity has won four titles this decade and the QB play has been great. X won a title a couple of years ago and the play of their QB was critical. Its not the only factor of course, but I think the play of the QB is the single biggest factor in success or failure at this stage. I know HC had an excellent QB that was a four year starter last year. The Rocks put him into a pressure situation early, and it turned into long night for HC. Meanwhile, Petrino started hot and HC found themselves down early and never seemed to recover. JMO.

Trinity's reign will be over!!!!

I am pullin for HC in this one.

Trinity's reign will be over!!!!

I am pullin for HC in this one.

Any reasons for this prediction? Or just wishful thinking?

With the confidence that Trinty got during the Male game, I dont think anyone will be able to beat them.

Trinity's balanced attack will be the difference! They are just to hard to prepare for. If HC tries to stop the pass, they will get heavy doses of Tim Phillips, and if they set up to stop the run it will be heavy doses of Flynn, Dutton twins, Mellilo and company. I wonder what type of pregame intimidation HC will try to pull this year. GO Rocks!!!
