Should Male move the game to Papa Johns?

Featured Replies

Now now, LSU. It isn't polite to be critical of one's host! What Male does (playing music during warmups, timeouts, halftime, etc) is similar to what U of L does at Papa Johns for home games. It's just part of creating a homefield atmosphere. Is the crowd making noise a silly gimmick, too? What about the band playing the school fight song? (By the way, Male's band was away at a competition for the St X game, which may explain the use of recorded music).

I'm kind of surprised at all the pettiness about the venue for this Friday's game.

Not meaning to steal the thread H but I wanted to let you know that the Male Band was at the Bands of American National Competition in Indy. I saw them there as my son's band "Bassett High School" from Bassett, VA was competing as well. Glad to see the Bulldogs made the Semi-Finals when I left. Congrats to the Male High School Band. :thumb:

Sorry. :D

The music is too loud and its played at every game no matter who we are playing. The Dance team plays it. I wish they would turn down some for a lot of fans come by my seat and get football knowledge on all levels pro, college, Hs, and Pee Wee, and its hard to share with all the music.

I think the atmosphere a large high school band brings to a football game is a great momentum builder for the fans and team. Male might be better served to play the music before the game and use the band during the game. In any event, should be a very entertaining game.

Trinity only received 3,000 tickets for the game...get'em early boys and girls.

I have always considered the Litkenhous Ratings a joke. Did you see their ratings in this morning's C-J. St. X. has two losses to Male (the last one a pouonding) and they are still rated ahead of Trinity. The C-J should be embarassed by printing Litkenhous.

I heard that the KHSAA will decide tomorrow if this game will be played at PJCS or Male. Just a rumor, but has anyone else heard the same?

The KHSAA doesn't decide...the game is at Male.

Alabama Larry and LSURock: Pregame LOUD music is standard at many high school games. It drives many older guys like me (us?) nuts, but the young kids love it. If put to a vote, Trinity and Male (X too) players, I dare say, would approve that message.:D

You have got to be kidding me!

People that look like Diogenes' avatar don't like the music!

It would be hard pressed to say that the Tigers loved the pregame treatment. I think they started by spotting Male 20 points and three three and outs of their own.... Game over.

LSU....Re: Gimmicks.

What about the LSU giant-headed tiger traipsing the sidelines behind the opposing team when they are warming up?

Thats no gimmick, thats spirit.
