6A #5 Trinity (6-6) hosts 6A #9 Ballard (8-4) after defeating 6A Henderson County 48-7. Ballard is coming off a 34-18 win over 6A McCracken County. Trinity defeated Ballard 19-14 earlier in the season. Who wins?

It’s hard to beat Trinity in the playoffs, I would anticipate a close game like the regular season but maybe a score late by Trinity to ease any nerves.

Trinity 31

Ballard - 17

The Rocks will have a healthy roster against Ballard. G. Smith and L. McQuire will both be playing in the same game for the first time since late August.

T- 35

B- 14

Keep proving the doubters wrong. Go Rocks. Take State!!!!

I suppose that is the rallying cry and narrative for the Shamrock base, but let's not pretend Trinity is "The Little Engine that Could." Ballard should be the team saying, "Keep proving the doubters wrong."

I hear what you are saying, but people have feasted on the opportunity to pounce on Trinity while they were down this season. It would be sweet "revenge" for the Trinity faithful if they can complete another championship run.

Trinity needs to play fast and physical.

While I understand what you're saying, nobody with any sense should think that about Trinity. I'm of the notion that until you see Trinity's kids turning in their uniforms and the opponent's name engraved on the next line of the bracket then Trinity isn't finished!

Well I keep reading on this site that the title is going to Male or St. X.

And Trinity is playing neither of those teams and will only cross paths with one of the teams you mentioned, assuming they win this week. The road for a title is more challenging for Male or St. X, not Trinity.

Yes Trinity does not play Male or X this week. Yes Trinity must beat Ballard this week. Yes the road is harder for Male or X. All of that does not change my opinion (from reading MANY posts on this site) that the majority have written the Rocks off and expect Male or X to win the title. That was my point.

Totally agree.

Jump on them big and early and think they may "hang it up."

I think I am in the minority with you @Rock85
