Mistakes become a lot more glaring when you can't keep your mouth shut. Agreed, but on the deep pass to TJ early he put up a Chris Henry type effort to go get the ball. He allowed a corner to come under him and make a play on the ball on a slant. The reciever can not wait on the ball he must go get it.

November 6, 200619 yr I saw someone on ESPN, maybe Jaws, trying to analyze "what's wrong with Carson". He showed tape of one throw where some pressure was coming and Carson lifted his left leg, throwing off his back foot; and theorized that he was afraid to take a hit on the knee. Can you rush to judgement based on one play, or is there a pattern? BTW, there was a very interesting segment on the Sunday night game that showed Brady's three keys to his throwing mechanics. 1. Left shoulder tight, 2. Right bicep as close to right ear as possible (no flying right elbow), and 3. Right hand in left pants pocket on follow through. Of course, that's a lot easier when you have plenty of time to throw.

November 6, 200619 yr Call me crazy, but at this point I believe that Jonathon Joseph has proven himself that he is ready to play in the NFL. I would sit Tory James. It seems like every big play that is a pass is a result of Tory James blowing coverage or getting beat. Don't get me wrong Tory has been very good over the past few years, I just think his prime has passed him and it is time to sit him and let JJ start getting some heavy minutes since he was drafted to replace James.

November 6, 200619 yr Regardless of what stats Lance wants to throw out there in defense of the Bengals' defense, good D's don't give up three straight games (or 3 of 4) where the opposition has the ball over 33 minutes. As has been said ad nauseoum in this thread, that defense can't get off the field. Regardless of how Lance spins it -- that's the issue. This team, with these issues, and this schedule, missing the playoffs was easy to see from a mile away. They needed breaks to stay in this thing and they haven't gotten them. 7 wins would be a stretch at this point.
