I don't think its the fact that he can't do it. Its the fact that he can't get over the hump mentally. He is almost there but it seems like he is holding back a little bit. You put the QB that gives you the best chance to win and unless Carson breaks his leg he is man you play.

That's what I'm saying.....Palmer needs to have something make him get over that hump, and the possibility of being in a QB controversy may just do it.

I agree Palmer does need to start playing better because he has been having just some bad throws. But also we cant expect to see what we saw last year when he made perfect throws everytime. Last year he always had time, this year if he is not getting sacked he is still getting hit right when he throws the ball usually. No QB not even Peyton would be able to throw perfect passes getting hit everytime like Palmer is. But your right when he does have time he needs to make sure he makes throws. Its just not Palmer there is so much that is just messing now with this offense, with the line, Palmer, and then the receivers...

:thumb: Were playing good teams, and we are right in it till the end. We just are not coming out on top. So I mean we all know that we are not playing our best football and we still are going down to the wire against these other good teams, this shows IMO that we are close and very easily could save this season still. Because I believe Carson will start to get back to his self the more we get into the year, and then I think we will be finding ourselves winning these types of games...

I think it could be a shoot out, we should score some points on them. Merriman being out can only help, although I think they have one of the best d lines in league which spells trouble.

If the Bengals control the offense running the ball....and not turning it over...that'll keep LT's touches to a minimum.....

This is something I never thought I'd say, but it's got to the point where I think he's really hurting us more than he's helping. I say they give him the start next week and if he doesn't turn it around you really have to look at Johnson. I know he's no good, but Palmer hasn't been either and he needs to get everything straightened out, because the Bengals have too much money invested in him to perform this way.

Now with just some stuff from the game. Does anyone else think that the hit Chad took against the Browns is still in the back of his mind. I know the pass from Carson was high, but that is a pass in the middle that usually we see Chad go completely up to get and then come straight down to avoid the hit. He seemed like he didn't completely go up as high as usually would in that situation.

 

The cornerbacks need to start doing some wide receiver drills and stuff because they got to learn to catch the ball again. I mean we had a few times the ball go straight into our guys hands just to let it drop. If JJ cathes that one ball he might be able to take it back, or if anything its are ball and still a one possession game. Then at the end if Dexter catches that ball has alot of running room ahead of him, and if anything we have awhole lot better field possession for that last drive.

 

I really dont like running the ball on first down on the drive when we got the ball back down by 6. I know if he rips off a big gain it looks like a great call, but if it gets completly stopped like it did it sets us up for 2nd and long and a obvious passing down then...

 

Then finally Chris Henry come on man you got to go up and atleast try to catch that ball. He was between all the Raven guys and IMO I think he could have got it. I know we probably wouldn't have gotten another play off, but atleast we could have tried, because Im sure as soon as Palmer through that ball he had all the lineman running down field just in case, so who knows we might have been able to stop the clock in time.

Bengals are hurting themselves alot as of late.

 

One of my best friends resides in Baltimore, the only thing I'm excited about is the fact that I have tickets to the game on the 30'th, you can find me in the endzone.

 

The first 4 minutes of the game killed the Bengals, they should've just spotted them 14 @ the toin coss bc that's basically what it ammounted to.

 

As for the ending, it was a load, and someone should be yelled at for it. As for it costing them the game, well I'd say it all goes back to those first 4 minutes...
