Yes I agree, it's very hard to find a team that'll over come those stat's, especially one with the trouble's Cinci's been facing as of late...

The Bengals have no balance on offense. Seem like they are searching for an identity.

 

Defense may not have been the problem today, but Baltimore got conservative after getting the big lead. People thought Breshnahan would cure things..Bengals still have problems getting pressure on QB's with basic rush. Lewis canned Frazier, because he thought he blitzed too much.

 

Teams are converting something awful on 3rd down against the Bengals.

 

Cracks in the foundation are happening. Pointing fingers and the like. Like on writer wrote, many Bengals and fans thought the Super Bowl was their birthright until Carson got hurt.

 

Last year was nice, they played some bad teams with some poor QB's who gave them many turnovers to capitalize on, and now they are playing some pretty good teams and the defense can't get off the field on 3rd down and arent providing turnovers.

Converse that with the Bengals having no identity on offense and can't convert on 3rd down.

Am I the only one that is going to bring up the fact that when 85 had to turn that read route to the middle he alligator armed the football which led to an interception off his fingertips that went for a touchdown? That was flat out scared reciever play that DEFINATELY helped lead to the loss.

Actually, I thought this game might give some hope. The Bengals played HORRIBLE. Absolutely horrible and had a chance to win the game. Simply, they have to begin making key plays at key structures.

 

Sounds like the Reds. Getting key hits in clutch situations.

Anyone who blames one bad call as to the reason we lost this game has absolutely no clue..

It certainly changed the game. The Bengals had the ball, time, and decent field position. There was PA on 3rd and 4th down.

For starters, I am the farthest thing from a Bengals fan, I am a Browns fan. Also, lofty expectations from fans (super bowl) is a contributing factor to why you guys think they are so good. The Bengals have an above-average offense with a below-average defense, simple as that. Defense wins championships, and the Bengals are no where near that level.

 

 

Without all the injuries/suspensions the Bengals are well above average.

What's wrong with Palmer? Why's he throwing it high? It must be the knee. It can't possibly be the complete and utter absence of a pocket on every single play. It's a whole lot different stepping into a pocket then stepping into a 350 pound man. There is too much penetration and that has killed us. We have to get some consistent play from the OL.

I'm not sure I understand the "came out flat"............. We fumbled and then a pass was deflected and intercepted. (Can't hit the reciever in the head and I watched it 15 times in a row wondering why they didn't throw a flag) Those 2 plays aren't a team coming out flat and not ready.

He is getting the ball of in a catchable position behind a line that is giving up too much penitration. However, those balls were catchable. Those announcers were making me sick. It is very simple. Recievers, mostly this statement is for 85, go high across the middle, catch the football, get hit by Ed Reed, and earn your paycheck. Don't lose your team the football game by alligator arming a potential catch.

Palmer wasn't bad yesterday. One INT was deflected, one was a lazy felon not caring. Saying that Palmer couldn't have lead them to a win in the 4th quarter is crazy. Talking about benching him is completley and utterly the single most absurd thing I've read on this website. It makes me reconsider membership.

Yes, but TJ isn't keeping himself in the news with his mouth. His tip drill also didn't wind up in the other team's hands for six. Mistakes become a lot more glaring when you can't keep your mouth shut.
