November 5, 200619 yr Now with just some stuff from the game. Does anyone else think that the hit Chad took against the Browns is still in the back of his mind. I know the pass from Carson was high, but that is a pass in the middle that usually we see Chad go completely up to get and then come straight down to avoid the hit. He seemed like he didn't completely go up as high as usually would in that situation. The cornerbacks need to start doing some wide receiver drills and stuff because they got to learn to catch the ball again. I mean we had a few times the ball go straight into our guys hands just to let it drop. If JJ cathes that one ball he might be able to take it back, or if anything its are ball and still a one possession game. Then at the end if Dexter catches that ball has alot of running room ahead of him, and if anything we have awhole lot better field possession for that last drive. I really dont like running the ball on first down on the drive when we got the ball back down by 6. I know if he rips off a big gain it looks like a great call, but if it gets completly stopped like it did it sets us up for 2nd and long and a obvious passing down then... Then finally Chris Henry come on man you got to go up and atleast try to catch that ball. He was between all the Raven guys and IMO I think he could have got it. I know we probably wouldn't have gotten another play off, but atleast we could have tried, because Im sure as soon as Palmer through that ball he had all the lineman running down field just in case, so who knows we might have been able to stop the clock in time.
November 5, 200619 yr Finally I know this was a must win game, but I still think we have one of the better teams in the league. So I mean we can do it, but it will be very hard and we will need some luck. Which we have to be due to get some luck here soon. Now this weeks game is a must win game for us because it is against the Chargers and this is a team we could be battling for a wild card spot, so if we get this win atleast we could have a tiebreaker over them if we tie for a wild card spot. So this seasons not over, but we got to find someway to get things together and not get ourselves in postions where a few bad breaks can lose us a game.... :madman: :madman: :irked: :madman:
November 5, 200619 yr If you're still happy because they don't suck like they did in the 90s, fine. Many have , instead, raised the bar higher . There are a handful of teams that can win the Super Bowl. The Bengals are in that group. With that as the bar, they have underachieved this season. 4-3 is not acceptable especially when one of the 4 was gift-wrapped by Big Ben, they were manhandled by the Pats at home, and they let a qb with a 76 qb rating destroy them. I would suggest we move past the stage of "Marvin's great. We don't suck anymore. Who-dey!" and start expecting the results of a potential championship team. For starters, I am the farthest thing from a Bengals fan, I am a Browns fan. Also, lofty expectations from fans (super bowl) is a contributing factor to why you guys think they are so good. The Bengals have an above-average offense with a below-average defense, simple as that. Defense wins championships, and the Bengals are no where near that level.

Now however it will be very hard, but let me tell you if we find away to get into the playoffs there wouldn't be many teams that would want to play us, because with the schedule we play we have seen playoff caliber teams every week. Its just like the Chargers last year, nobody wanted the Chargers to make it with their tough schedule because everyone knew how dangerous they could be if they made it. The challenge for us is making it, because if we find away to make it, then we will be a team that not many teams would want to play...
