October 31, 200619 yr Colorado is abysmal...maybe worse. They gave Georgia all they wanted "between the hedges." Maybe that means nothing, maybe it means if it isn't a "big-time" opponent than Richt doesn't get the boys up, maybe it means that UK could possibly be in the game entering the 4th quarter with a shot at the big upset. Who knows. I just know that Colorado is no better than UK and they had a shot...let's hope it bodes well for the 'Cats. I'll play it safe and say the game is within 7 entering the 4th Quarter but UGA piles on a score or two and ends up winning by 14+.
October 31, 200619 yr I really hope the Cats can pull this one out. I think that just having the idea in their heads that this time they have a shot is enough to keep them in the game (at least through the first half). If that psychological edge can get them any kind of lead in those first two quarters, they've got a chance. ...but don't forget that just because Georgia's not near as good as usual, that sure as sunshine doesn't mean that the Cats are suddenly on the same plane of existence.
October 31, 200619 yr UT, UF, and Vandy. Thank you!!! I really do not see how alot of people on here are saying that this game wont even be close. This is not the same Georgia team of years past, and we are not the same UK team as years past. I mean Georgia probably should have been beat by Colorado a team that lost to a Div 1AA school. Then Georgia did lost to Vandy, which is a team where most people would say UK is better than this year. So if those teams can play with Georgia why dont some of you think UK will be able... As I said before I actually will take UK in this one!!! UK 34 Georgia 31

UK has been in the first half of the game against nearly every SEC opponent in the very recent past but have been unable to seal the deal. They need to be able to have their heads on right for 4 quarters. I would love to see UK beat Ga. and everybody on their schedule but they have not been able to do that. I do think they are improving and I'm happy about the possibility for a non losing season and possible bowl trip, but I do want our goals to be higher but I also realize that you have to crawl before you walk.
October 31, 200619 yr Well, I hope that KY can play with Georgia. Georgia has struggled but seems that games like this has a way of getting a way from KY. I agree with the fact that if KY gets blown out in this game then it very well could be the end for Coach Brooks. Now, I also think that if KY could beat Georgia then you can bet your bottom end that Coach Brooks will be back next year. I still think the mental edge is there for Georgia and I will say Georgia 35 UK 28
October 31, 200619 yr I think the Cats have a chance in this one. The Kentucky strength(passing game) is the Georgia weakness(pass defense) add that to the fact that this is not a great offensive bulldog team. If the Cats can score and slow down the dog running game then an upset is very possible. UK-31 UGA-28
October 31, 200619 yr I really have no idea whats going to happen in this game, I hope for a UK win, but this team is so up and down and unpredictable. I just leave it at that.
November 1, 200619 yr I think, like its been said already, the key to this game for the Cats is to play 4 quarters of Football. The Offense must be productive. Ill be at the game and I have a gut feeling of a good game. I just pray its not the usual come from behind loss. Georgia in a close one. :fight: GO C A T S CATS CATS CATS, Yoter
November 1, 200619 yr Here is what Georgia has done in their last 6 games (since September 23): -At home, they beat Colorado (1-8), 14-13. -They won at Ole Miss (2-7), 14-9. -At home, they lost to Tennesse (7-1), 51-33. -At home, they lost to Vanderbilt (4-5), 24-22. -At home, they beat Mississippi State (2-7), 27-24. -At home, they lost to Florida (7-1), 21-14. So, even if they did play Florida close, look at the rest of that. They just aren't very good right now, or at least they aren't playing very good. They beat the same Mississippi State team we did by 3 points....and that was at Georgia. I'm not saying Kentucky will win this game, but there is absolutely nothing that makes me think Georgia is just going to waltz into Lexington and blow us out. And if you're still hung up on one horrible game at LSU, please let common sense prevail. First, there is a big difference between Georgia and LSU this year, and second, there is a big difference in playing LSU in Baton Rouge on a Saturday night, and playing Georgia at home. I think UK has it's best chance to beat the Bulldogs in quite some time. We're still an underdog for sure, but from the way Georgia has played this year, and from the way UK has played at times, beating them wouldn't be that big of an upset, IMO. It would be a huge win for UK and the program, but on paper, Georgia is very vulnerable, and UK has enough to beat them if the cards fall right.
November 1, 200619 yr Georgia is obviously a team that plays to the level of their competition. In this case, I'll say Dawgs 27 Cats 24.
November 2, 200619 yr I think UK has had enough several games over the last few years to beat one of the upper tier teams but has failed to do so. I honestly believe a lot of times, unfortunately, that UK over the years has learned how to lose games and has not been able to get rid of that stigma. Until they do they will continue to lose games to the Florida's, Tenn., LSU's, etc...
November 4, 200619 yr If UGA blows out UK, Rich is done after this season. I don't agree. No matter what happens tommorrow, if UK wins 6 games and goes to a bowl, Brooks will be back. I think Barnhardt wants this staff back, he just needs a reason to tell the fans why, and a bowl game is key, regardless of the UGA score tommorrow. That being said GO BIG BLUE!
