August 23, 20188 yr It’s 100% subjective. OSU is at least tied with UL on a bad day for most hated team. There’s 2 OSU fans on here and we’re on page 10 lol of Meyer. Not even remotely close, brother. Do not confuse "hated" just because people are debating a situation (the #2 story on the Today Show, btw). UK and UL football and basketball have a lot more detractors on here than OSU. Starting page 3 for me - it is a simple setting adjustment. My only comment is about how poorly Meyer looked in his presser. With weeks to prepare that is the best OSU could come up with? At one time Meyer's response to the situation may have cut it, but not in today's times.
August 23, 20188 yr One question I have. In the report, it outlines that the reason Urban and Gene were suspended is because they failed to report the accusations against Zach Smith to compliance. Also in the report it states that the first person to be notified of the accusations was the Title 9 office who they relayed it to Gene, who then relayed it to Urban. Are compliance and Title 9 the same thing? For the findings to make sense to me, compliance and Title 9 must be two separate things but I've always used the two interchangeably. Would Urban and Gene still be required to report to compliance/ title 9 if they were the ones that alerted them in the first place?

But when you feel like you did nothing wrong I'm not sure how easy it would be to take the punishment.

These power coaches like Meyer, Saban, Pitino, Cal, etc. live in a different, insular world where they are able to control their environments and frankly bully their way into whatever result they want. I think he was more shaken at the lack of control he had of the situation than anything else.

I think he was more shaken at the lack of control he had of the situation than anything else. Lack of control and disagreeing with the outcome are basically the same thing. Urban was there for over 10 hours yesterday just chilling while the Board convened. I'm sure that had something to do with it as well. But with regards to the power these coaches have, we only have ourselves to look in the mirror as to why they have so much power to begin with. If we like you, we overlook your transgressions. If we don't like you, we attack you for not tying your shoes correctly. That's just the way the game is played. We have an extremely difficult time putting ourselves in the shoes of others, especially when it comes to sports fandom.
