Is Class 6A Excited?

Of course Scott County and Simon Kenton thinks they have a chance against Trinity, beating them is something completely different, you seem to be employing the old tactics of UK#1 fan by being inflammatory. The facts, at least in my mind, which is of the utmost importance to me, is that everyone else in 6A is playing for second place, not matter if 3 teams are licking their collective chops or not.

Inflammatory? You mean not just blindly agreeing with what other people say? Guilty. You are providing "Facts" that are not facts. They are antidotal, impossible to defend arguments. I can say Male is absolutely going to win the state championship and no one can say otherwise. But, does that make it a fact?

It seems some have lost the original point, the point was "are other 6A teams excited by the loss of T and X?" Not, who is going to win a game in three months.

Well, good luck with that.

Could not have said it better myself

So then we're assuming that other teams in 6A are excited about tonight's losses, because there's certainly no way for us to prove that...

We could call the head coaches and ask, I'm sure they would tell us the truth.

Teams may be excited, but I still don’t see Trinity losing to a KY team.

I am not blindly agreeing to what everyone else states, I feel strongly that Trinity is the best 6A team in the state. You seem to be trying to make a compelling argument that Scott County of SK or Male has a shot to win the State Championship, of course they have a chance, all 32 6A teams that strap on a helmet have a chance, I just personally think the odds are slim to none, and slim has exited the premises.

That's all I'm saying. They have a chance and I'd say they are feeling pretty motivated tonight.

Being excited that T lost is one thing. Being able to do it yourself is entirely different. Trinity hasn't lost to an in state opponent other than Male or X in a long time. Does anyone think that because they lost to Carmel, Seneca or Jtown are now "excited"? I doubt it.

What I’ve found is the excitement stops around Thanksgiving.

And when some of us try to help people be a bit more reasonable in their expectations we get people all mad at us for trying to the straight man in this narrative.

I seem to recall this moment in the 2014 state game.

Sure, teams are excited but no trophies are being handed out in August. It’s foolish to think St. X isn’t a contender because of one game. We tend to forget before T was a “national power” they had a season where they started 0-4. We also forget there was a year St. X lost their first game of the season to Cov Cath. Things happen, but at the end of the day it’s Trinity, St. X, and Male...then everyone else.

There's nothing to be excited about in my opinion. Trinity is still going to run the table and win the championship (my opinion of course).
