Is Class 6A Excited?

A St. X team that had 4 days to replace their starting QB. St. X should have won but it’s naive to believe it didn’t make a difference in the outcome.

A program like St. Xavier, with over 100 players, should be able remove one part and replace it with another without difficulty. Not a real excuse to me for a program like St. Xavier.

That team in Park Hills disagrees!

I knew this was coming. Trinity will gladly take their call.

Which part?

I simply said it’s naive to believe it didn’t make a difference in the outcome. Clearly it did. We’ve watched tons of NFL teams struggle on offense when they replace their starting QB. Not sure why the same logic doesn’t apply to high school football.

St. X loses to Male after four days prep with a new QB is not the same as St. X lost to a Class 2A team four days after replacing their QB. Compare that to an NFL team lost to Ohio University after replacing their QB and then we are comparing apples to apples.

No one in the state is as good as Carmel.

Seems antidotal to me. No other KY team has played Carmel. By that logic no 6A team can beat DeSales. Is that true?

I agree. They shouldn’t have lost to DeSales. I am simply saying I think they win that game if they have their starting QB.

You also said "no one in the state is as good as Carmel". That is something you are offering as a fact that is an opinion without support, yet.

Possibly. But, you have to think the other 6A teams are pretty excited about the night's events.

No argument there. I can understand why they’d be excited.

Trinity’s loss is irrelevant to everyone in KY. Saint X, not so much.

Per calpreps.com, last year's projected score:

Trinity 31 Carmel 8

Is Carmel that much improved or is Trinity down that much from last year?

Last year Warren Central lost by one point to Trinity and beat Carmel by 21.

So, you think Male has 0% chance?
