Wow!

Disappointing!!

NCC looks good, particularly that run defense. Also like to see the creativity with offensive play calling that’s been lacking the past few seasons. They were mixing the run and pass very well, rather than the traditional run-run-pass.

 

Kremer throws an excellent deep ball, particularly to the deep corners. With Cain looking good at WR in addition to the guys they already had there, the Breds offense is going to be tough to stop if the OL does its job. Hezekiah Miller also offers some nice big-play versatility (just protect the ball!)

 

Very impressed with the Breds in game 1 under Coach Lickert.

Three takes that I have from this game for NC:

 

1) They are definitely better than last year. NC fans should be thrilled with the new start under Coach Lickert.

 

2) The defense was very good, looked much better and more disciplined compared to last year.

 

3) The offense was very balanced. Many defenses will be challenged by it.

 

As far as Scott is concerned, a lot more discipline is needed. They showed good things at times, but played very undisciplined most of the night.

 

Can’t say that I saw this much of an uneven game coming in. Congratulations to NC and Coach Lickert on a very impressive start to the season.

Scott did some good things, particularly getting to the edge with the run game, and getting some guys open on deep passes that they just couldn’t connect. If they can iron out the timing on the passes and build on their run game, they will be just fine.

I hope NCC is just better than I thought, otherwise this could be a rough season for the eagles

Great first win for the new Breds coaching staff. Certainly more aggressive, but disciplined, which I think most NCC fans will appreciate. Going for it on 4th down for the second score and going for two at 34-0 show they are pushing the envelope

NCC had a couple of injuries to key people. Any word on their status?

NewCath should keep the foot on the pedal and run over Cooper next week.

B) They made adjustments well that put them in a good position to open holes and protect well

 

C) They tackled well at every level defensively

 

We make a big deal of a lot of things in this game but many times it’s pretty simple. If you can block and tackle you stand a pretty good shot.

I agree on all of your points. I definitely agree with your point about tackling. I was impressed with them offensively and defensively, but their defense was their biggest takeaway IMO.
