Class 5A Playoffs: #8 Highlands at #9 Conner ***Barn Burner***

Pretty sure it’s 38-28, so was definitely risky. -
Covington Catholic's Michael Mayer

Michael won the MVP award among skill players at The Opening Finals. All those WR's and RB's in attendance running 4.4's, and the TE is the unmatched vertical threat winning the award. Good stuff! -

Was FOX19 or any other news outlet there to see the big victory? -
Bengals Next Coach 2.0 (Maybe 3.0)

Having another 4-5 great years from Aaron Rodgers would make Green Bay the top job. Cleveland is a close second with their overall roster and Baker potential. -

Correct. Mike Brown needs a "yes man". Maybe Stefanski could work since he's so young and it'll be his first HC gig. Need to do something different in this organization. No real results from this era. -
Bengals Fire DC Teryl Austin

Maybe Marvin can teach Hardy Nickerson how to tackle. Or maybe anyone on the defense. Or maybe get a pass rush going/bring pressure successfully. -
He was only rehired because he and Jurich are great friends/Montana boys. No one else (at a Power 5 program) would have ever given him that kind of money, so he definitely outbid himself. Brent Venables would have been a better option (and will be for this year). Thankfully AD Tyra is able to get a fresh start with both major programs. Also, glad the nepotism is done on the coaching staff. That was an absolute joke to the program to have those three on the staff.

Newcath is playing very good defensively, but Desales is not helping themselves. That’s four drops now I think. -

The way NCC is playing D, I am shocked that they didn’t kick a field goal. -

They’ve had Kellys going back to the early 2000’s. Big family. -

Maybe the most impressive punt I’ve ever seen from a high school punter. There’s a good one going on in Newport! Desales probably needs to commit to their pass game. They’re good on the timing routes. Newcath probably needs to commit to the max-protect passing game. Catch the snap and throw deep to Posey or throw a slant to one of the inside receivers. Put Kelly out to run routes if you’ve got another back that can help in pass pro. -

Nice answer by Desales. If I’m their coaches, I’m revamping the gameplan to “throw the ball to 87”
