NFL Anthem "Policy" - Winners and Losers

Featured Replies

I think it is pretty simple, the players are losers because the NFL can fine teams into submission if any players fail to tow the company line.

The NFL powers that be are the winners because now everyone has to stand for/respect/whatever you want to call it for the National Anthem and that is definitely what is best for business.

As far as the fans are concerned, I believe this is a win for most fans.

What is your opinion? Who are the winners and losers?

I am a fan and I do not consider it a win for me. I understand the right of the NFL to impose whatever regulations that they feel necessary.

There are no winners. We all lose one way or another as a result of what has taken place.

Bingo.

I just wish football discussions could be about football.

Seth Wickersham is reporting that no official vote took place and that it was a poll taken by the owners. He is also reporting that Mark Davis also abstained from “voting”.

If this is true then this is a long way from being officially over.

Like I said yesterday, we know someone is lying.

I am still going with Clown Show on this issue until the NFL proves me wrong.

NBA coming in hot...

Steve Kerr on the NFL's new anthem rule: "Typical of the NFL. Appealing to their fanbase. Basically just trying to use the anthem as fake patriotism, nationalism. Idiotic."

Hot is an understatement, blistering hot!

There are no winners. We all lose one way or another as a result of what has taken place.

And you wonder why Kaepernick isn't getting picked up by anyone.

You guys think Kerr is aware that the NBA has required players to stand for the anthem for the last 20 years?

What does Kerr think a sports league is supposed to do? He does know how companies work correct?

I was just going to say the same thing. It's in the NBA's rules they must stand for the anthem.

We may have another loser here, the NBA.
