I agree Wendy's are the worst by far...the last change they made several years ago was a horrible decision.

 

Hot Fresh McDonalds are hard to beat but you have to eat them immediately because they don't retain the heat very well.

 

White Castle and Culver's crinkle Cuts are great if cooked properly.

 

Dairy Queen's are VERY underrated as well.

Steak and Shake if that counts as fast food, they do have a drive through but it's anything but fast. They always seem to be cooked properly but due to the shoestring style, you gotta eat them quick or they may become the worst fries you've ever ate.

McDonald's and White Castle are tops IMO.

 

Arby's is up there if you count curly fries in the discussion.

 

Long John Silvers has some really underrated fries as well.

 

Agree on McDonald's. With Long John's you get the malt vinegar, so that's a definite plus.

I really don't think that I've met a French fry I didn't like. Now, I'm pretty much a French fry fiend, but my preferences are all those that are not seasoned, a la Rally's or Arby's. I have been known to get a roast beef at Arby's and then drive to another fast food joint for fries. I digress....

I wish I still had a DQ close. Their fries really are very underrated. Almost always come out with the perfect amount of crispness. I don’t eat fast food really at all anymore, maybe once a month at the most, but I could really go for a chicken strip basket at DQ.

We have two that are reasonably close to our house. Aberdeen (OH) takes about 9 or 10 minutes. Flemingsburg (KY) about 15 minutes. The Flemingsburg location is MUCH better.

The one in Dry Ridge has been gone for quite a while now probably 8 years or so but I’m not sure I ever had a bad experience there. It was just in a horrible location.

Your 100% correct the flemingsburg location is much better.

I agree with those above who have said that Wendy's had really good fries before they were changed. The current version is pretty bad, but at least you can switch them out for a chili or baked potato. Burger King's fries are pretty darn awful as well, but again you can switch them out for onion rings which are much better.

Frisch’s is a lot better since they went to a crinkle cut.

Mc Donald's by a lot. The only other one remotely close is Steak 'n Shake.

Mcdonalds is the best, when they are cooked right, and served quickly. But this doesn't happen all the time, and I think sometimes they aren't changing the oil as much as they should.

 

Chick-Fil-A's waffle fries are always good, and the most consistent.

 

Burger King and Wendy's are not good, and on the rare occasions I visit those places, I typically just get sandwiches.

 

White Castles fries are solid. I love good crinkle cut fries.

 

I want to like Rally's fries, but they just don't do much for me. I love how crispy they are, but there's no enough potato taste. All I taste is the seasoning.

 

Steak and Shake fries are dreadful. Along with their burgers. Milkshakes only for me at Steak and Shake.
