I’ve never been more ashamed to call myself a Democrat. I still haven’t officially switched to Independent but it will happen before the next presidential election. The Democrats are a disgrace.

 

The republicans aren't winning any prizes either. Independant is the way to go. Ideas should win not people or parties.

If the election were held again today with the same 2 candidates I vote the same way, no question.

I agree with this’s 10000%. As long as congress is in office just to seek re-election we have a problem. No one is willing to go against their base if it can be used against them. Lame ducks may actually be willing to vote what’s right rather then what their base expects.

YES! The question is how do WE THE PEOPLE as their boss get this done. They have built up so many rules/laws that inhibit us from touching them.

 

The same goes for their pay...how are they allowed to vote on their own pay?

I agree with term limits, I think most do. But it’ll never happen.

No one has emerged that has made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. That’s disappointing because it seems like Trump is an easy target to tackle but these politicians have all lost focus. On a national level they all make me so sick right now. I’ve paid more attention to local politics for the time being and I like what I see and hear from a Amy McGrath so far and I am super intrigued to see if Matt Jones will finally sack up and get serious about running against Mitch McConnell.

I’m super excited about the probable next mayor of E-town.
