TheDeuce
I am definitely interested to see if Jake stays at Xavier or if he ends up somewhere else. Just out of curiosity is there any chance he ends up at UL? Is that possible? I cant see it. Louisville is pretty stacked, numbers wise, in the front court, especially if Ray returns. I was thinking that but definitely curious to see what happens with him. IMO if he has a chance to stay at Xavier then I hope he stays there. It still seems like a great spot for him. Agent Zero
Jake is a talented player that fits the Xavier mold (with Mack they had 3-4 bigs in rotation with Kanter, Gates, O’Mara, and Jones) and I agree that if Steele gets the jobs this is a non issue like was said earlier in the post. You 100% cant teach that height and I’m not knocking the kids talents but I believe Mack did a great job handling the “bigs by committee” style of play they have had with the likes of Freese, Stainbrook, Gates, O’Mara, etc AND HE KEPT EVERYONE HAPPY!!! I don’t know how well an outsider would be able to handle that situation with Gates & Jones coming back and another freshman PF coming in with Walters the same way Mack did. Also...in this day in age, you never know what transfer is going to walk on campus looking for a new home. I wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors! gametime
The single most important factor in the development of Jake Walter is leaving X for Louisville, and his name isn't Chris Mack...

If you tell me there is a better big man coach in the country, I'm inclined to instantly say you are lying. Pegues is a rising star...

Agent Zero
One could say whatever they like. They’d be wrong, but they could still say it... :lol2: Because Pegues and Xavier have sent SOOOOO many big men to the NBA #fartnoise if developing guys to be G-League and International guys is your cup of tea then I can see where you are coming from...But Payne takes those young guys that UK gets and molds them into monsters come march in the very short amount of time to work with them. I also understand that UK and Xavier talent levels are different but hey recruit better then Xavier Edited March 28, 2018 by Agent Zero and another thing! TAC
Pretty sure Boudreaux has already re-opened his recruitment. Heard last night another recruit made a comment that he is interested to see who takes the job. Sounded as if he could possibly do the same thing.
