Flying out of CVG

Featured Replies

I'm flying out Thursday morning at 7am and haven't flown out of CVG in a few years. How early do you all think I need to get there for a 7am flight?

You'd probably be safe walking through the doors at 6:00. I'd be there by 5:30 but I'm fanatical about being on time.

That's what I was thinking as well.

If you're not checking a bag and already have your boarding pass - 6:00

If you're checking a bag - 5:30

I'd probably be there by 5:30am just in case. Realistically, you could probably arrive 30-45 minutes later and not have any problems 99% of the time.

I usually get there two hours early. Always check a bag, and I have plenty of time waiting at the gate. But being late anywhere (read: on time) gives me anxiety.

Agree with the above, on the off chance I get there at 6 instead of 530 people are usually lined up everywhere. I show up at 530 and it's like a ghost town

Is this the first thing we've ever had in common?

Might be. You just have terrible taste. :lol2:

I am the same. Then I sit there and wonder, why the heck did I get here two hours early.

The last few times I've flown out of CVG, it's been dead in the morning and my fights were at 6am and 7:30am.

Most important question that has not been addressed. What airline? Delta, AA you are good with 1 hour plus. I’m TSA so I’m good at an hour.

If you are flying the economy airlines plan on 2 hours plus or you may be there all day.

The only time I've been to CVG was on connecting flights. Evansville use to have daily flights there. Not sure why they stopped.

Not sure why which airline would matter. TSA security is the same no matter which airline you use.

TSA Pre - 60 minutes (45 if you have low anxiety)

No TSA Pre - 90 minutes (60-75 if you have low anxiety)
