Yeah, Martin was big on the wins leader board. I believe he started the program at Wayland before he went to Bardstown.

Jim McKee seems like he’s been at Scott County for awhile.

Mayfield: Joe Morris 1999 to the present

Mayfield: Jack Morris 1969-1992

Murray: Preston "Ty" Holland 1930-1972

And that is why Murray's stadium is called Ty Holland stadium.

Also, Mayfield has had a Morris as a head coach for all except for 6 years since 1969.

Ivan McGlone was at Russell for 38 years, all as the head coach. Prior to that, he spent four years as the head man at Vinson (WV) High School. His time at Russell has to place him high on the list of longest tenured coaches at one school in Kentucky (maybe trailing only Schneider at NewCath?)

Haywood has been at Belfry 34 years

Played against Tates Creek in back-to-back years in the playoffs. Coach Walton seemed like a great Coach/Man - came into our locker room after both games to give specific praise to a couple of our players. In college I became friends with a couple of guys who played for him and they had nothing but good things to say about him.

McKee stared at Scott County in 1997, at 27 years old. He came from already having been a head coach, at Oldham County, I believe. @ColonelMike could likely verify that last bit of info.

Tom Larkey spent 23 years as head coach at Perry Central.

Larkey was at Perry Central from 2014 through last season. If he spent 23 years anywhere, it would have been Rockcastle County.

It doesn’t feel like Beatty has been at T that long to me.

Tom Larkey spent 23 years as head coach at Perry Central.

Larkey was at Laurel County, Rockcastle County, Harlan County, and Perry County Central for a long time. He wasn't at any one of them for 23 years.

It doesn’t feel like Beatty has been at T that long to me.

"False" screams one hundred St. X fans almost immediately!

It doesn’t feel like Beatty has been at T that long to me.

Considering my senior year was his first season I feel ya.
