January 19, 20188 yr I ran 15 miles Sunday. Been running about 30-35 a week. Planning on running a marathon in May. I started running seriously about 2 months ago and it's hard to believe how much better I've gotten. I've gotten my pace for a 10K to around 7:30 a mile, which is fast for me. My half marathon pace is around 8:30 per mile. I'm hoping to run my marathon at about 8:30 miles.
January 19, 20188 yr Author Did you see 18.0? I wouldn't mind doing that one as part of open. I looked at the workout and standards last night but not the details of what it's about. Meaning why he released a 18.0. He hasn't done it in the past opens do so curious what it's about.

Off the subject, I did have a bit of a milestone lift for me today. I had a deadlift of 405 today, which is the first time I have broken 400.

It was more as a kick off and to give the new standards for dumbbell snatches and burpees. Nice job on the deadlift. 400 was always my goal then my back started giving me issues and never got about 360.

January 19, 20188 yr Took off 3 days in a row. Started back yesterday. Half way there. 5000 swings. Finishing every set with ease now. Going to make up for lost time and go 6 straight days. Wish me luck. 4 more to go. 5500 swings. Tried to swing after long work day and Jiu Jitsu yesterday and my grip wasn’t having it. Hooked on kettlebells for the rest of my life. I will always do the Big 4 in barbell, but this has opened up a whole new world. Work out at home, minimum space, and everything feels better, not like after benching or squatting heavy. Moving on to strength compounds and sprints to compliment BJJ in February.
January 20, 20188 yr I haven't, and honestly I hadn't even thought of that. iMuscle2 is a great app, does cost $2.99 I believe. Made my girlfriend get it a couple weeks ago and she loves it.

January 21, 20188 yr Running 16 miles in the morning. Thankfully, it won't be under 10 degrees. Dude! This is awesome. Let me know if you need any tips or feedback on training for your (first) marathon. One of the few areas I know a little bit about on here
January 21, 20188 yr I gave 500 a go yesterday. Much harder than I expected. Day 1 w the shoulder press is extremely tough. Day 8 with the shoulder press is much easier. The body adapts very quickly. My first day was at 39 minutes. Now I can do 20 to 23 minutes depending on the workout.
