Looks like our gym had our first regional athlete qualifier (other than our gym owner who has qualified for the games as a master athlete). Other than him, we don't have any athletes of that caliber. Pretty exciting for us to watch him qualify after busting his butt for the past year. I am sure we will head to Nashville to watch him and this regional is loaded.
Congrats to your guy. Qualifying for any regional is a huge deal but the Central East for men is on a different level. You have to be an absolute stud to be one of the top 20 in this region. Fraser moving to Cookeville didn't make it any easier. We have a lady that has been twice, missed last year due to having a baby and finished this year in 22nd I believe. Two of the top 10 ladies are on Froning's team so that will move her into the top 20. Not sure if she will go or not though. If she does I may try to go down and watch some.

Ah water weight. 216 on Saturday after carb reload and 208 today after depletion workouts the past couple of days

Weighed in at 195lbs last Friday. Ive been losing right at 1lb a week since January 4th, which is my goal. Pretty amazing what excercising 5-6 days a week and eating pretty well can do for a person. Did a full chin-up yesterday for the first time in about 3 years. Feels pretty good.

It has been a year since I started my "diet" and I have lost around 60 to 70 lbs. My weight fluctuates between 190 and 195 and I have been able to maintain for the last 4 months. Similar to what @Jackie Ed said it is amazing the things you can do if you are consistent and determined.

Ditto. I'm down 50lbs this year, it's crazy what a little lifestyle change can do.

I hadn't planned on losing weight but I have lost about 10% of my body weight. For years I've hovered between 215 and 220. I've been playing disc golf religiously at times I would jog between throws but now pretty much walk. I can't stop purchasing discs and also purchased a larger bag to house those discs. I'm not around 196, the lightest I've been since '89. I've had a few people ask if I am trying to lose vs being sick.

We started a Hero Workout Challenge at my Crossfit gym. Crossfit has something like 140 workouts named after members of the military, police, or fire that have been killed. The most famous is probably Murph named after navy seal Lt. Michael Murphy (movie Lone Survivor), that most gyms do on Memorial Day. That was our first one and we are doing a different Hero Workout every week (normally on Friday) for like 15 weeks. Today will be the 4th one. So far we've done:

Murph (Navy Seal Lt. Michael Murphy)

Sisson (Army 2nd Lt. Justin Sisson, 101st Airborne)

Glen (Navy Seal Glen Doherty, died in the 2012 on the us consulate in Benghazi)

Today will be Rankel named after Marine Corps Sergeant John Rankel who was killed in Afghanistan.

Hero WOD this week is Whitten named after Army Captain Dan Whitten KIA by an IED explosion in Afghanistan, Feb 2, 2010.

This may be the toughest one yet. We are leaving for Gulf Shores in the morning so I'm going to tackle it tonight.

Missed last weeks Hero WOD Challenge workout. We were in Ft Morgan, AL on vacation and well I just couldn't talk myself into working out.

This weeks workout is Severin...named after U.S. Army Sergeant First Class Severin Summers III who died August 2, 2009 in Afghanistan.

This summer I have been walking at least 4 Miles every day. I walk with the skinny lady across the street and my daughter (who is also a runner). They both walk very fast and I struggle to keep up. So it’s a pretty intense workout for me. Also—we often go at midday, the hottest time, so we are sweating!

Have to admit that it has become the highlight of my day. I feel great and the clothes are getting looser.
