March 2, 20188 yr Author We are two weeks into the open and I am pretty sure my position on the leaderboard as one of the worst in Kentucky is secure. :lol: I was not thrilled with my finish on 18.1 but to be honest I'm not sure I could improve much. I keep a solid pace on the row and moved through the T2B pretty quickly, breaking into 4's. My right shoulder is giving me issues so the C&J was rough on that side. Other than taking shorter breaks I just don't think I could make up much anywhere. 18.2 - I'm hoping to get a 2-3 shots at the clean. Would be happy getting 195 but like you I'm just not sure how my legs are going to feel.

If 195 is what you think you can do then I would probably suggest throwing on 2 1/2 pounds on each side (or even 1 pound weights on each side). It will at least separate you from everyone doing 195. The 185 I did is pretty common since it is a 45 and 25 on each side, so I wish I would have thought about it and gone just a little more.

March 2, 20188 yr Boooo I think my weight loss finally plateaued after 6 weeks. I only lost 0.2 lbs. this week after consistently losing 2 lbs. a week for the last month. I'm down 15.6 lbs. total. Any suggestions for triggering weight loss again? To this point, I've only changed diet and cut out alcohol on every day except Saturday. I guess the obvious answer is to add exercise. Anything else I can do with diet? Thoughts? Thanks!

Some say they are eating better but when you actually track it you really aren't. When I say tracking I mean every single calorie and macro. Then yes, if you aren't exercising then that would definitely be a good next step.

We have change plates so I may have those on there and start at 176 or 177. Leave them on and go up 10lbs per lift. Again this will all depend on how quickly I can get through 18.2. My goal is 8 mins or less but that may be expecting too much. Way under estimated this one. I never could figure out a could method to hold the dumbbells and struggled with them the entire time. Didn't even get through it before time cap. I want to redo but don't want to waste my time if I can't figure out the squats. Might do it scaled so I can get a clean.

I put the dumbbells flat against by shoulder/upper chest and just pinned them there with my hands, but I saw dumbbells in many different positions. Good luck if you try it again today.

I tried just about all positions. I stood them up on my shoulders for during the first few rounds but couldn't really get them stable there. I could muscle through it because the reps would low. When I got to the round of 6 i start trying different methods but think I just made it worse. I wanted to get the handles on my shoulders where I could hold the front bells like a front squat but my shoulder mobility issues made getting them in the position a fight. I might do it again this evening but it will be scaled so I know I can get to the clean.

I was amazed at how draining the double unders were to the two master athletes who competed on the announcement show last night. I figured for sure the muscle ups would be the element that challenged them, but it was the double unders for sure. There's no doubt this is a DU workout for the elite guys. That many is so taxing on the shoulder and forearms making the MU's harder than they normally are. I'm really curious to see were our top athletes get. We have a lady that is a regional level athlete with a motor that doesn't stop. I'm really curious how she will do.
