I never expected Wiseman to go to UK. The de-commitment of Jeffries pretty much solidifies that IMO.

 

After talking to some national insiders, I wouldn't be so sure of that. Apparently Wiseman and Jefferies are not close and playing together isn't exactly at the top of their priority list. The situation at Memphis is going to be such an interesting case study...

Just thought it was interesting insight from a few folks I trust on the national scene as everyone is assuming the decommitment meant both were now likely to stay home. If Wiseman doesn’t care for Jefferies, Penny is in a tough spot...

Interesting indeed, that's very interesting.

Jeffries had been committed to UK for awhile and was only ranked one spot ahead of Allen in the new rankings. I assume he was thinking he’d have to fight for PT so he decommitted but I have clue about him or his situation so it could’ve been something else. Either way it definitely helps Dontaie, hopefully with that spot open he gets the offer and some playing time!

 

I'm as big of Dontaie Allen's fan as anybody, but Jeffries is 100% not worried about battling Allen for playing time. Jeffries played with CP3's AAU team this past week at his tournament....probably some promises and movement happening during that week. The cameras continued to point to Penny Hardaway in the stands. Could all be coincidence.
