Ok, to start with, I thought I had drank too much afternoon bourbon when I saw a thread I posted in, in 2017, but here we are.  

Now that I see it's a real thing, I love it, because it has been a topic since 2017.

Construction continues on the Ciafardini Family Athletic Complex.
The scoreboard has been installed. Shoutout to Punky’s Pixels, one of NCC’s corporate sponsors, for their work on this. 
While the turf is laid down, no games expected this calendar year. Students can expect to start using it in the spring, and I believe a track & field event will be hosted there.

Punky’s Pixels is a really generous company. They donated use of a 10ft×14ft TV on a trailer last year for us to use at the St. Agnes Oktoberfest because the Bengals were playing and we were worried it was going to kill festival attendance on Sunday. Worked out totally great, and Punky’s offered it completely gratis.

Jealous but happy. Would've loved to be able to have played on campus but you can't take away the memories of riding on the Blue Goose to the "Home" games and getting yelled at by the locals on 9th street. I love it for the future players of all the sports utilizing the field, I love how compact it is. The bigger facilities that are not land locked make it seem like you're sitting a mile away from the field. We were hoping it could've been used this year but it was not meant to be. Great job by everyone involved and anyone who donated any amount of money for this project.

The Breds community will finally get to experience what a true home game feels like. I was told this was the quickest (given the size) Capital campaign ever in the Diocese (I cannot verify).

Indoor training facility and more remodeling up ahead. The NewCath train is rolling!! Much love and appreciation to all involved.

Did they end up getting the big $$ donation from Wayne Carlisle that initially put the whole stadium plan on the map back years ago? I know that there was a point where Bishop Foys (our previous bishop, for those who may not know) was making some demands about how the money from Carlisle's proposed donation and the capital campaign would be spent, and Carlisle threatened to pull the donation if it wasn't going to go directly and entirely to the stadium fund.

The field looks so much better with NCC's new branding and logos.  I love it when any school has its own unique branding identity instead of using a knock-off college/pro team.

I have heard that as well.  Not my place to comment on specific donors.
Many families (prominent and discreet) are making things happen.

Great time to be a Thoroughbred.

I think it is not a surprise that the stadium plans were given the green light as soon as Bishop Foys retired...
