Any opinions on this one?

It sounds odd, but it may be fortunate for Holmes to be playing at Dixie due to turf at Dixie's new awesome house. Dixie's defense will be a lot better than what Holmes has seen the last two weeks so I do not look for Holmes to break 20. Huge game for both teams. Neither can afford a loss. Loser of this game will fight for a #4 seed IMO, whereas the winner can still vie for a #1 seed. Good luck to both teams.

It will be interesting to see Holmes offense play a big league defense this week. They put up 93 points on Scott and SK (at home) in the last two weeks, but only 7 against Ryle (away) three weeks ago...

 

I think Dixie (at Dixie) will get the job done handily this week...

I think Holmes has a great chance at winning this game.. No prediction thou.

I think that Holmes has too much in front of them to make the playoffs. Theay are 2-2 in the district, but still have Dixie, Boone, and Campbell. IMO I don't see them winning any of the three...

Ok I'm going to make 2 predictions:

1. If the Holmes that showed up against SK in the second half plays then I'm going to take the, what I consider to be a big upset, Bulldogs 34-28

2. If the Holmes that showed up against SK in the first half plays then I'm going to take the (obvious pick) Colonels 34-20

If Holmes doesn't make the stupid penaltities that have haunted them in some past games and they can move the ball against a good Dixie D they have a shot to play with the red colonels. I think a big Defensive or Special teams play by either squad will decide this one. As always I don't like to make predictions, I'm a Bulldog first and a Red Colonel second. Of course I am hoping to come out of Edgewood with a victory, Friday night we will find out if Holmes speed can move the ball on a very good Dixie D. Dixie O will score points, but if they let Holmes backs loose in their secondary it will be a will be very interesting night. Good luck to both teams, neither can take the other lightly.

I vaguely remember you predicting Holmes to beat Holy Cross in a big way. That didn't turn out too good.

However, from what I saw on TV, HC looked better than advertised and Holmes self-destructed.

I think Dixie is too much in this one.

I say Dixie by a few scores.

Holmes typically plays Dixie tough for some reason. Last year they had a td called back which would have given them the lead at one point in the game and forced OT. Dixie's D has shut down some good offenses but they haven't faced a team yet with the team speed of Holmes (outside of CCH and HHS),
