Why would anyone from NKY be ticked that Mad South is in this game?

So how are we (I am a NewCath boy) supposed to take the drawing from Cincinnati quote? Sounds like making excuses to me. Why would I care that Madison Southern made it to the finals? Thats why I like Ohio playoffs bc they have much more parity when it comes to teams in the finals. Must of touched a nerve. Also the cake eater comment is dumb. You mean to tell me everyone on MS is living below the poverty line?

He isn't making excuses...I promise he's using the public private thing motivation. Take a sample of an entire interview and make it what you will. It's why BG Preps is awful and Rivals is way better. Most of you all on here are ticked that Madison Southern is even in this game. It's why most of this state despises NKY and wishes you all played in Ohio. Cake eaters now...cake eaters ALWAYS. Come by our tailgate and shove a hotdog in your mouth tomorrow (maybe some cake)...and enjoy the game...cause Southern fans will no matter win or lose.

High-end high school football will always be about population base whether its a public school or private school. If Boone County High School folded into Ryle and Connor folded into Cooper (or vice versa) you would create two 6A juggernauts overnight. Would that be unfair? Is it unfair that Scott County only has one high school? At the end of the day, you do your best to make it as fair as possible. No system for high school football is perfect.

Underdog Eagles ready for a fight

 

All season long, the Madison Southern football team has rallied around a simple, powerful slogan.

 

Why not us?

 

Those words have provided the extra motivation that has lifted the Eagles to great new heights.

 

Southern won its first-ever regional title last month, then rallied to beat Harlan County last week in the state semifinals.

 

Now, they have a chance to accomplish something even more special.

 

The Eagles (11-3) are set to take on Covington Catholic (14-0) today in the Class 5A title game.

 

A victory would give Madison Southern its first-ever state championship in any team sport.
