Rematch. Last year CAL stopped mayfields run of state championships in good fashion winning 48-24 at home. This year they travel to War Memorial for a final four show down. Should be a classic!!! Thoughts and predictions? What are the keys to the game?

Limit Wright's touches and put our best defender on him. Mayfield needs to score Td"s whenever they get in the red zone. One player won't beat Mayfield. CAL probably hasn't played in the hostile environment that awaits them.

That is always a question that is interesting to see how different coaches handle it.

 

Is it better to travel Thanksgiving night, spend the night in a hotel and then sit around all day in a hotel waiting for the game that night?

 

Or should the team just get on the bus earlier than usual and travel the day of the game?

Mayfield found themselves in an unusual position last year when CAL came back and took the lead. Cards started pressing and it got away from them quickly. Play every down and make them all count, no wasted plays next week.

Oh yeah, there's some bleachers and a full set of porta-johns over there. Y'all will be fine.

I'd say bleachers for visitor side are 2/3rds as big as the visitor side at CAL, if that helps. Not sure how much of the centurion crowd are making the trip but im sure they'll get filled up

I thought last year was a good game and feel the better team probably won. But there was two big plays that changed that game. Mayfield missed a wide open receiver for a touchdown and the very next play the receiver cramped up and fell down leading to a pick 6 by Mr Wright. Changed the whole game. From that point on Mayfield was pressing.
