I havent talked to 3 people for over 10 years due to a series of things they did, (who we went to school together and were pretty close back then when everything happened.) I guess thats a grudge.

Same, anyone else they are pretty much dead to me. Don't have the time for people like that in my life.

I have only one, and it dates back to HS. None of the poll options really apply, because no other grudges lasted. The one, however, better hope I never see him in public again. I'd pop him in the mouth and then thank him for helping me be better at my job, because it made it easier for the me I am now to understand how horrible and petty people in his position could be.

When do I get over it? When the offender man's up and says, "I'm sorry for"...(whatever it was). Those sincerely spoken words mean all the difference. If they are not spoken, I still forgive....but, have to admit that I sinfully remember the issue still festers in my memory.

Heard an interesting conversation during lunch today, where one of my co-workers admitted to "not forgiving" a friend of his for something that happened over 10 years ago! Yet he still considers the other person his friend. I'll admit, I may harbor a grudge for a little bit, not a decade!

 

So, what say you...if you feel a friend "wronged" you somehow, someway...how long would you hold a grudge?

In some situations it's easy to know who was the one at fault, but other times it's not as cut and dried. I guess that should be another poll question, how often do you go back and admit that YOU were the one who was in the wrong.
