UT fans will not be happy about that. Rightfully so.

They are pretty upset based on the reactions I've seen on twitter. Schiano is a good coach but he's definitely not the caliber of name the folks in Knoxville think they deserve. In reality it seems like Schiano was the biggest name even interested.

Florida getting ready to name Dan Mullen its new head coach!

Hey @GrantNKY ESPN is reporting that Tennessee is finalizing a deal to name OSU defensive coordinator Greg Schiano as its new head coach.

This.... who else wanted to go to Rocky Top?

It appears Greg Schiano, Ohio State Defensive Coordinator, has emerged as the top candidate at Tennessee. Schiano was the head coach at Rutgers and the Tampa Bay Buccanneers before making his way to Ohio State.

He should have plenty of wood to chop on rocky top.

Several of my UT friends are losing their mind over this hire...I guess besides not thinking he is the coach they wanted they are lumping him into the Penn St. mess, I have no idea what his involvement was but they are pretty upset about it.

Could Jimbo go to A&M?

Don't Think so but I could see Sumlin in StarkVegas.:sssh:

If I had to guess I think Schiano is going to end up backing off the UT job and UT will end up with a coach they deserve and will continue to fall further into the pit of misery. Dilly!Dilly!

Tennessee fans deserve what ever garbage coach comes there way. Good luck getting a coach to come to Knoxville after the way they treated Schiano.

Did you see the big rock they graffiti'd on campus? I'm not sure I take this job now. They may burn the city down.

This is on The Rock on UT campus. This was on Twitter on KSR.

Stay classy UT.

Stay classy UT.

If there is any truth that Schiano had any knowledge of what was going on, even a little bit, I can't blame them.

There is no sustainable proof and Tennessee fans are just using that as a reason to discredit Schiano because they are unable to accept that fact that literally everyone else they asked turned them down. Kelly and Mullen didn't give UT a thought, Jon Gruden has been playing with their feelings this whole time and I'm sure Schiano was probably the 7th or 8th name on their list. Tennessee fans just can't accept the fact that they are as attractive as they think they are.
