Coach Bob Beatty's Trinity (10-0) squad enters this playoff contest as overwelming favorites. The Rocks are well rested as they were off this past Friday. Coach Preston Smith's Seneca (0-10) team lost to the Shamrocks on October 13 42-0. The Redhawks dropped a 16-0 decision at 5A Iroquois (4-6) this past Friday. The Redhawks have scored 28 points in 10 games and were shutout victims in 6 of their past 7 contests. Trinity looks to raise their all-time series record to 17-2 versus Seneca.

Had to think about this one but going with Trinity for the win.

I feel sorry for any team going into a game with out a snowball’s chance to win.

why does KHSAA feel it necessary for an 0-10 team to make the playoffs. Need to cut the number of teams in the playoffs and make the regular season mean something.

Any team that has "participated" for ten games with no success, certainly isn't looking forward to sometimes traveling long distances (Dayton vs Paintsville - Class 1A) to get their brains beat out. In this case, Seneca certainly can't be looking forward to playing Trinity - again!!!

 

Even if Trinity is benevolent, Seneca would rather be doing something else Friday night.

What would it cost Seneca to fofit?

As mean as this sounds Trinity should start their JV. Chances are they win.

Does every team in KY make the playoffs? In Georgia, if you have a four team region they'll use a power poll to determine who gets the 4th spot. This keeps a team that was winless from making the playoffs and can let in more deserving.

All but one 6A made the playoffs this year. The addition of the new school in Lexington made this class 33 teams. Paul Laurence Dunbar was left out in 6A. There are a handful of teams left out in other divisions. I believe Class A is normally limited to 32 teams.
