2017 King of the Carpet Contest Round 1 - ($100 Overall Prize)

This is actually two contests in one. All you have to do is pick the winner of all ten games like you have been doing all year in the Pick-10 games (seven 1pt games, two 3pt games of your choice, and one 5pt super game that we choose). Here is the format:

The weekly winner gets his/her normal prize.

 

In addition to the normal contest we (we being me) will be keeping a cumulative total of points scored in the contest and the member with the most points after the state finals will win our grand prize.

 

PLEASE READ - PLEASE READ - PLEASE READ!!! FREE MEMBERS CAN PLAY (FYI FREE MEMBERS - THERE WILL BE PAID ONLY PERIODS ON BGP DURING THIS CONTEST), BUT IF A FREE MEMBER WINS THE CUMULATIVE KOTC CONTEST - THE PRIZE WILL BE MERCHANDISE FROM THE BGP STORE. IF A PREMIUM/PAID MEMBER WINS, THE PRIZE WILL BE A CRISP BENJAMIN! AGAIN - THIS IS NOT FOR THE WEEKLY CONTEST, BUT THE GRAND PRIZE FOR THE 2017 KING OF THE CARPET.

 

For the first 4 weeks, the contest will run just like the regular-season Pick 10 contest. There will be a 5-point super game, then you will make two 3-point picks and seven 1-point picks. Maximum point total is 18. The six championship final games that comprise the fifth and final week of the contest will be weighted by yours truly. At least one will be a "super game" with lots of points at stake.

There will be TWO tiebreakers: (1) TOTAL POINTS scored in the 5pt Super Game and (2) Time of post.

 

 

The deadline for all entries is 5 pm ET Friday.

Harlan County - Pulaski County (5-point super game)

 

Bourbon County - Greenup County

Bullitt Central - Dixie Heights

Daviess County - North Hardin

Fleming County - Garrard County

Franklin County - Mercer County

Graves County - South Warren

Henderson County - Meade County

Henry Clay - Madison Central

Moore - Rockcastle County

 

Again, the winner of the first four weekly installments of the King of the Carpet contest will receive a quality BGP merchandise prize. The winner of the whole shebang (unless it is a registered user) will receive a quality one-hundred dollar bill and a BGP Grand Prize.
