I disagree. A loss to New Cath would almost surely knock Beechwood from #1 and open the door for several teams to dethrone Beechwood. If New Cath were in 1A, they would be ranked 4th or 5th right now. If Beechwood loses to New Cath, then Paintsville, Hazard and Kentucky Country Day definitely have a chance to beat Beechwood.

 

 

IMO, Beechwood is a very good team regardless of class. I would, however, disagree NCC would be ranked 4th or 5th in 1a. IMO, NCC would beat any of the other teams ranked behind Beechwood. In the end it will not make a difference who wins because the 1a championship goes through Beechwood.

IF Beechwood loses it will only make them more focused and hungrier heading into the playoffs.

And go with the "well I guess they should just not show up." I despise that statement. Do I think NCC will win? NO.....But really my opinion means nothing when they play the game. I would be inclined to expect a BW running clock, if, this were not the last game of the year. Would Coach Rash play starters if the game is under control given that playoffs start next week?

Now that’s a good question lol. I believe the running clock option is more likely to happen. Like I said in the game thread you never know which NCC team will show up. If the NCC team that beat CAL shows up

Then I’d go the other way but they have not looked like that team since beating CAL. I hope for a hotly contested game that Beechwood still wins but no injuries as neither team can afford it this late in the season.

I would also add that Beechwood is a terrific place to watch a game and their concession stand is restaurant-quality. Two great reasons to make the trip!

With all due respect and I have to disagree with you . I have seen the Beechwood team play and it's going to take somebody special to beat them . Being a big Lloyd fan I know what we did too NCC. Now with that being said I don't see Newport central Catholic beating Beechwood. I guarantee coach Rash will not sit players in this game they are coming to play and I hope Newport central Catholic comes to play but I still think Beechwood handles this game.

IF Beechwood was to lose there is only 1 team that would move up.

 

High school is a fun game and sometimes matchup with different team make games playout differently.

I am like the rest I don't expect Beechwood to lose. I'm eager to see how it plays out.
