We had the "Year of the Cardinal" in 2013: won the Sugar Bowl, won a National Championship, Rick Pitino was inducted into the Hall of Fame, we counted down the days until we were joining the ACC. Our arrogance grew at a rate so alarming that we should have been able to sense it happening. This is the punishment the gods have seen fit to visit upon us for our hubris. I see no end in sight. Maybe sometime in the future but it has went from in past bgp post such as "Jurich : Best AD in America" / Petriino ..."best fb coach in America", "He's here for the long haul / would never leave UL" to him meeting overnight w / Auburn, to Atlanta, to another school, to a drunken cheat with his asst's wife and the infamous motorcycle wreck ....to Jurich hiring the bum for a 2nd time and probably if truth known, "questionable" dealings there and all those are not to mention the fall of R. Petino ....a Great basketball coach for sure, one of if not the best coach in America..... but numerous personal problems / accusations, recruits / hookers, etc. at parties, "Finger salute" to a Rupp crowd, to the "alleged" actions that led to his and the AD's dismissal. ......rumors are a new soap opera "As U.L. turns" is in the making. All of the above and f I were a betting man, I would be willing to bet that their baseball coach and program are involved with all of this as well. Baseball though, isn't a big concern to anyone though. Probably bc it's not the big draw nationally as football / basketball is.
October 16, 20178 yr BC basically ran 2 plays (inside run to #2 or rollout dump pass to a back / TE) the entire 2nd half. UofL defense refused to stop either one. As I've said before, defense lacks talent, is coached awfully, executes poorly and plays stupid. Other than that, how was the play Mrs. Lincoln? With all that said, they are driving to win the game when Smith (who appeared to be going through the motions all day anyway) coughs up the ball and gives BC perfect field position to win the game on a FG. Ugh.
October 16, 20178 yr Author Louisville is 4-6 In their last 10 games. Unfortunately that trend doesn't seem to be making much change soon based on what's happened so far.

UL football won 10 or more games ONE time prior to 2000. They've won 10 or more games 5 times since then. Last year they beat the #2 team in America by 43 points. They won a Sugar Bowl 5 years ago. They won an Orange Bowl 11 years ago. Seriously, what on Earth are you talking about with the "glory days"?

Okay, who did they lose to last year? That's right Kentucky so that negates anyone they beat. I didn't hear national championship in your argument at all. 5 years ago and 10 years ago. Give me a break. 5 times out of 17 is not good.
