Hoover, AL looking for game on 9/29/07

Featured Replies

Hoover is not playing well, and I really don't think that they would win 4A in KY, more because their offense is not all that good. Ross doesn't get it done well enough....last night they scored late to beat a 2-4 team 21-14...

Carroll County would be interested but we would have to drop Gallatin County off the schedule. :D

Maybe if Johnson Central would bring them in it would silence some of the critics we have regarding our scheduling.................

I just don't see this matchup happening, they would probably avoid you all like all the other teams in Eastern Ky. does.

^ That comment makes me wish that the Rocks got give Johnson Central a test drive next year.

If Hoover were to schedule this game, I will guarantee they would only have to bring thier JV squad to take care of business.

That 2-4 team (B'ham Minor) is about as athletic as the Spencer-Bush Male team from a few years back. I have seen both T (twice) and Hoover play in the last year, Hoover would win by at least 3 TD - no knock on T at all, have great respect for them, but the size and athleticism of Hoover would be too much for the Rocks. I think the pressure and the grind of all the attention is getting to Hoover right now - they will take it to a whole new level come playoff time - that is their M.O. the last few years.

^ They are not that physical, they do posess some matchup issues on defense, but their offense is stagnant and soft, Ross rarely seems to make a decision past his second progression.

IMO Hoover's QB, based on Television (MTV), is not that good. The rest of their team looks very good.

Gentlemen, Hoover has won 4 Alabama State titles in a row and 5 out of the last 6....All can dissect, pick apart and speculate against this team or that KY team, but they are obviously very good.

No offense to any of the teams offered but unless the team to play is Nationally Ranked, has won several state titles in a row....there would be no contest.

You don't win that many titles, by hap-instance or you're good for one season....4 titles and 6A, I would imagine is full of good teams.

^ This comment makes me wish that Warren Central had scheduled the Rocks this season instead of Maine South.

No matter how good a program is, there are always fans of a better team eager to look down upon the program. Remember as you continue taking potshots at Johnson Central that there is no shortage of fans of teams better than Trinity (or teams whose fans think they are better) willing to look down their collective noses at the Rocks.

Johnson Central would have nothing to lose and everything to gain by playing Trinity (or Hoover) next season. Trinity would either suffer an embarrassing loss to a school less than half its size or it would win a game that everybody would expect it to win.

Unless Hoover expects to be rebuilding next season, I doubt that it fills the open date with a Kentucky team next season.

From what I hear we would likely take that loss. Let me ask you this, which is more likely us playing Warren Central (IN), or Johnson Central playing us?

Who is Johnson Central? Are they 4-A?

Who is Johnson Central? Are they 4-A?

A 3A, Region 4, District 8 team in eastern KY. And this was meant as a joke, not a shot at any team.......geez they're are alot of sensitive people out there. We get alot of shots taken at us because of our schedule. I was not hinting at anything else.
