I find it hard to believe that Trinity has never won a state championship in baseball. With all the great players that have gone through the program, you would think Trinity would have several state titles by now. I know one thing, they definitely have the right head coach in place. Would be interested to hear from anyone with an opinion on this subject.

They have an outstanding freshman class coming in led by Ethan Wood the #10 ranked player in the country. He is 6'5 and already tops out around 90mph..

Yes, I think they will.

Probably the one sport where you can have a great team and run into a pitcher that is cranking. One player neutralizes everything. A great pitcher makes a huge difference in this sport, probably more than any other. Although good teams always win it, this sport probably is the one with the best team not many times. Thee odds are tehy will with their talent, but they have a tough region and when/if they do, it is likely to be with a very good but not awesome team. Now if they played three game series, they'd have one, more than likely.

What's odd to me is that he went to Trinity to begin with. He lives like 2hrs away from Trinity and had to make that trip everyday..

There is no way I would ever do that. Thats the equivalent of driving from Pikeville to Lexington everyday and back. :isurrender:

I have not seen him play hoops.

No reason to think they won't ever win. The seventh region is always so strong and with baseball, a couple of mistakes can cost you an exit in the playoffs. Eventually, with a school that big and a program that solid, you have to think the stars will align right.

Wood is back at Danville where he went to I believe 6th and 7th grade. Supposedly playing basketball and baseball. Been told he's pretty good at basketball but baseball by far is his best sport.
