They dont have a middle school team.

Yeah, not an official one anyway. They still play Fort Thomas Junior football....or one of the other local programs in a different league. They should probably change that...

With all due respect Jumper_Dad, and no disrespect to the Bluebirds intended, the bolded was never a problem when they were rolling over their opponents and they relished in the idea of going against the bigger boys.

True, but when the talent is down as we've been told...that is a much tougher thing to do. Maybe they should have asked to be in their correct class or eased up on the schedule if everyone saw this major drop off in talent coming through the school.

They dont have a middle school team.
They have a youth league team for middle school age kids, right? What is the health of that level? And the levels below?
Coaching isnt the issue.

So you're of the belief that the current scheme and play calling, as well as the culture created by the coaching staff is not why this team has not been very good for the past 2 years, and not looking very good this year?

How many people will claim to be "in the know" in some way in this thread and have absolutely no idea what they are talking about?

I'm a HUGE believer in loyalty and I have no clue what process Highlands used to select their current coach but a program the caliber of Highlands needs to seek out the best person available regardless of ties to the school. If they searched and the current guy was the best candidate that's one thing. If they just hired him because he was there and next in line well....

Correct, ive stated the issue multiple times in multiple threads, no one seems to disagree with it.

I'd beg to differ, based on the poll, this thread, and many other posts that have been made.

So you are of the mindset, it has nothing to do with talent?

I agree with this.

Well when I spoke with the CovCath coaches before the game last night, they told me that Highlands has talent. So why are they continuing to struggle?

On the offensive side of the ball, yes. On the defensive side of they ball they have neither speed, size or depth.

Fractured..the talent is there, but is playing all over the place some in FTJFL some in NKYFL all the way up to 8th. The coaching in FTJFL is average

Not many highlands fans even voting in the poll or commenting to be quite honest.

What are your thoughts on the question at hand, JOAT? How does the HHS faithful feel about it?
