I would call that a tossup right now between Belfry and Corbin.

What a great win tonight for the Tigers!!!!!! To catch phrase Dabo Swinney "BYOG- Bring Your Own Guts!!!!" This was a super gutsy performance by these Tigers. People started to doubt them because they had a slow start but like always Coach Rash had this team well prepared and ready to go. I have so much admiration for Coach Rash, he is absolutely a wonderful Coach that gets everything he can out of every kid on that team. Mescher and Burch had absolutely clutch performances and I hope they can hang with CCH next week but not looking good. Either way great win!!!!!! WE ARE BEECHWOOD!!!!!!!!

Corbin is a solid team. The QB is a load to bring down, and he has a nice touch on his passes. He goes through his progressions real well too. The defense is solid, but they struggle covering the deep ball. Beechwood went over the top multiple times in the 2nd half.

 

Beechwood's offensive line came to play tonight. They produced holes for the back and gave Burch time to through. They used the short, quick passes in the 1st half to open up the downfield throws in the 2nd half, and Burch was money on the deep ball. However, he struggles with a short field as it looks like he locks onto 1 receiver. There were multiple times where it looked like there was a receiver wide open in front of him, but his eyes were locked on the receiver behind him. It cost them a couple possible touchdowns, and he was fortunate to not get it picked a couple times.

We can play the what if game all night. Don't take anything away from the kids. This was two great #1 teams going at it. I'm sure the Tigers would love to take a visit to Corbin, heard its beautiful down there!!

Great win for the Tigers! I don't think people around the state expected this result.

Belfry certainly has a shot at another championship, but, I wouldn't count Corbin out because of 1 game.. Losses happen when you play other good teams.. I'm sure they know they have things to clean up and improve upon to get to where they ultimately want to be.. Central, E'Town & Lex Catholic all took it on the chin this week, also, to some very good teams while Boyle took it on the chin last week to another very good team, but, I still wouldn't count any of them out to win a title.. All these games, including this one with the Tigers, will only make them better when it matters..

This is pathetic! I love it when no one gives respect. Everyone always thinks smaller schools should always gives way to the bigger schools! I won 3 state championships and got 0 respect, knowing we would've beat anyone in the state of KY regardless of class!!!!!!! That's why we were winners.....and Coach Yeager!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like I said, a top 1A or 2A team can play with just about anyone in the state.
