I have read up on it. Apparently it is okay if cooked to the proper internal temperature. I'll be able to give a better answer soon :thumb:

Crow Busters - Crow Recipes

Apparently, it doesn't take long to properly dress a crow for meal preparation. There's several recipes listed in the link above. I'm sure you'll find something to your liking. :D

High school kicker didn’t show up until halftime. He hit the winning field goal.

DANVILLE - Nathan Hazlett wasn’t dressed when the Danville football team kicked off against cross-town rival Boyle County on Thursday night. He was two and a half miles away at Boyle County playing for Danville’s soccer team.

Hazlett showed up at halftime, his Admirals trailing 7-0. About 45 minutes later he booted the game-winning field goal from about 45 yards out with 40 seconds left to give Danville a 10-7 victory, its second straight in one of central Kentucky’s best rivalries.

“It meant a lot for me and the guys on the team,” said Hazlett, a junior. “I was pretty nervous, but I kicked it and it just went through.”

Hazlett is a starter for Danville’s soccer team, which fell 3-2. The conflict in his schedule arose from decision to move the football game because of concerns related to severe weather entering the area on Friday.

“That was a little hard,” Hazlett said of playing an 80-minute soccer game before putting on pads. “ … It took a toll on my legs.”

Danville Coach Clay Clevenger thought if both teams could get past the early emotion of the rivalry, it would end up being “a dog fight.” Hazlett hadn’t been in such a tight situation before, but Clevenger knew he had the leg to make it happen.

“It’s at the point where you know he’s got the leg and you don’t know if you’re gonna get any more opportunities for it, you’ve gotta try and go for it,” Clevenger said of the decision to kick a field goal rather than try another fourth-down play. “We knew we had a little breeze to our back as well, and he lined it up and nailed it through.

“It was ice in the veins right there. And it’s funny, that was the best protection we’ve had on any PAT or field goal all year. They gave him plenty of time, he stepped up in there, got a good hold and knocked it through.”

I think it was obvious with Chuck Smith's comments in the paper that he was very upset with the offense. Again the play calling was terrible. When you have a veteran offensive line, including a division one prospect, other 3 year starters and don't go for the run on the 1 yd line then something needs to change. Late in the game the same thing happens to keep that critical drive alive. The offensive coordinator continues to run out of that one back pro set regardless of the down and distance on the field. He keeps putting pressure on his young QB to make throws that are not only difficult but unwise to begin with. He seems to keep trying to prove that he is some type of offensive guru with his off the wall play calling as well as overall offensive scheme. The players deserve better than this, the other coaches deserve better, the parents and fans deserve better. At what point is Chuck going to say enough is enough. You can only carry loyalty to an inept OC so far. When he had Jeff Duggins and Brandon Smith at QB, they could cover most of his mistakes along with all the other talent on the field. That is not the case now. We have not beat a real good team since he has been back as OC and I don't see it happening.

I agree that it was questionable to throw inside the 5 yard line. Really to tough to throw on Danville at all, especially in that situation

Very well said there are alot of people who feel the very same way.

Chris Pardue is a first-rate football mind... Those people need to worry about something else.

GCHS, I am guessing that you are either a coach or fan whose team would face Boyle and their OC. Most opposing coaches want him to be there from now on, because they feel they may have a chance with him calling the plays. There are many people with great football minds that either are or would make terrible coaches. Because Coach Pardue has been let go or encouraged to leave at his last three jobs, it appears he is trying to prove that his offensive shortcomings were the fault of the players rather than his poor decision making. Sticking with the pro set that they run in the NFL when you don't have that talent is absurd. This is high school football. The two winningest football coaches in the state coach to their talent, not what might be popular on TV. Neither run anything close to a pro set. I respect your opinion GCHS, but those of us that have had to endure this game in and game out makes it very hard to sit back without comments. To repeat myslf, the kids on the field deserve better.

I couldn't have said it better my self Country thanks for letting GCHS know how we feel. Pardue does know football but that doesn't mean he or any other coach with his experience can always sustain a high level of coaching some either lose their edge or refuse to change and I also think Pardue tries to force his offense rather than tailor his offense to the talent he has on his team and it's nothing against him personally he seems like a great person but that doesn't mean he's the coach he once was for instance look at Sam Harp he was once one of the most dominant coaches in the state while at Danville but something changed over the years and his program slipped weather it was refusing to change with the game or something else I'm not sure but it happened. It's hard to sustain a high level of coaching for a long period of time for some coaches. The coaches that change their offense or defense coaching every year to fit the talent on their teams are usually the great ones.

I'll agree with the Pardue forces his system on the players and doesn't change to fit his talent. Easy example is last year. He had 3 good running backs, a QB who wasn't the most fleet of foot and didn't have a great arm and only one go to receiver who was a freshman but yet he stuck with his one back sets allowing the defense to key on just one or two players instead of having 2 or all 3 on the field at once forcing the defense not to key on any one of them. JMHO

I think some of you are giving Pardue to much credit/authority. This is Chuck Smiths team. The offence is not going to change unless he wants it too. Until then Pardue will continue to call plays to the best of this ability in the offence that Chuck Smith thought was the best for this team when the season started. I'm also not sure the offensive line is as strong as they thought it would be when the season started. Danville had several tackles for loss by their D line, especially in the first half.

36 rushes for 97 yards vs 18/30 passing for 200+ yds in the game for Boyle. If they run the ball at the 1 and dont get it, would this still be conversation. Probably would. I can remember the last OC being ridiculed for running too much and using a 3-back set. The bottom line Boyle is a very good team. They have quality players and coaches. They are still identifying strengths and weaknesses and will be solid at playoff time.

Most of these fans are the ones that wanted Coach Mason gone so bad!

The previous OC ran exactly the same offense as Pardue. He was even worse in his play selection. He was though a very good offensive line coach.

I would have to agree again. IMO though Pardue is way better than Mason was.
