Danville 10 Boyle County 7

Featured Replies

Yep Harris apparently fumbled twice inside the 10

Sounded like two fairly even teams

Sounded like a very evenly matched game. Danville edging the Rebels with the kicker.

Defensive battle or what?

The FG is on my twitter if you want to see. Awireman

That was a hell of a boot.

The first and the game winner were kicked by two different people. Hazlett plays soccer did t get there until half time or later

Hazlett played a soccer game at Boyle County, then drove across town and kicked the game-winner in the football game.

"If Boyle holds Danville to 17 or fewer points, I'll actually shoot a crow and eat it on a live feed".

Now, I'd rather had gotten the win but just couldn't pass this opportunity up. When's the live feed?

Game lived up to the billing. Congrats to the Admirals.

Finally home and settled in...

First, kudos to both teams. That was as fun as it gets. I felt like Danville was out-played in some ways but still ended up with a few more scoring opportunities than Boyle. Unfortunately for the Ads, Don Harris fumbled three times and lost all three, and two of those were inside the 7-yard yard line.

That kick was as good as it gets. I had no idea Danville had that as a weapon but that was impressive.

For the most part, both defenses stifled the other team. Danville probably should have scored at least 2 more times and I honestly felt like the first FG attempt was good but it was very close. Didn't go their way.

The game was balanced out by turnovers and big defensive plays. I believe Boyle ended up with 4 turnovers and Danville had 3. The Rebels probably should have scored at least another TD but ended up getting intercepted in the end zone.

Big game, big atmosphere. Boyle has improved tremendously from last season. They aren't Corbin or Belfry just yet, but they are in the group of teams just below them that will have a shot at the end of the season.

Danville's defense is championship good. They are going to need to polish up the offense a little as the season progresses.

Haha, I will give Boyle a ton of credit. Their defense is impressive. I hated to see them lose really. I wish this game could have ended in a tie.

Now...where will I find a crow? Also, is that even legal? I better check on the logistics :lol2:

I was very impressed with Danville's quarterback. Twice on 3rd. and long rolled out and hit #4 coming back over the middle for big first downs. Also threw no interceptions! Player of the game for me.

Pretty equal game and really has no bearing on seeding for the playoffs. Danville's kicker was the difference. just Wow! 45 yard FG with the game on the line. College and even pro kickers are not automatic from that distance.

Boyle now knows where they need improvement and will be a better team come district time from playing this game tonight.

Turning point in the game was the Warren pick on 4th and goal after Boyle ran the ball down Danville's throat. Momentum change after that and Boyle was never effective on offense for the rest of the game.

I would rather see Boyle run and come up short and force a 99yd field for Danville.

Danville should really get a new clock keeper. Lots of plays where the clock either didn't start or stop as indicated by the referees. While it didn't really have a bearing on the outcome, Danville should do be able to do better. Could be a major factor sometime down the road.

Congrats to Danville....nice win.

Kinda shocked at the score. I thought the ADs would win this game by a bit more. Regardless, win is a win.
