Looking at the maps, the path of totality in 2024 will be much closer to Louisville than this one.

The Facebook captions from today are so creative. "Watching the solar eclipse", "We watched the eclipse today", "Here we are, watching the eclipse". :lol2:

Suffices to say that I soiled my pants when the sun's corona made it's appearance. Then two and a half minutes later I was sitting on that TN mountain precisely as you described...stunned and catatonic. Then I just remember apologizing to the Knack and singing something like "My Corona... My, my,my corona!"

My Corona...that's classic!!! :lol2:

Was thinking that the Corona Beer Company must've done well today.

Good to know you're doing fine, and thanks for the enthusiasm that you have built around this event. Learned way more things about it than I might've otherwise, and because of you, knew well in advance, and way before the media jumped on it. :thumb:

Though I was nowhere near totality, it was a good day to reflect on how every day is precious. Have to admit that there was a bit more than usual dose of emotion running through me today.

One thing leads to another which is why I'm now watching "The Dark Side Of Oz"

I don't care what anybody says, and even the members of Pink Floyd, there's no doubt in my mind that they did indeed pull this ingenious mind blowing synchronization. Way too much stuff happening to just simply be a coincidence.

Bet they've made a pact to take confirmation of this secret to their graves.

If you've never seen it, check it out sometime for real.

Glad you're alive and well... can't wait to hear more about your experience.

I'll take one!

Hell, I'll just declare it take your BGP friend to work day and save you take the cash. :DWe'll drive up to the Pete Dye Course and watch it there. It's the 2nd highest spot in Indiana, so it should be a good spot.

Haha! There was defintely the funny and mundane today. I just saw that a Greenville SC newborn baby girl (born today) has been named "Eclipse". lol

Even better!

FYI:

Tonight on numerous PBS stations...

Nova "Eclipse Over America" - 9:00-10:00

Scientists and citizens alike observe the first total solar eclipse to traverse the US mainland in more than a generation. Discover the storied history of eclipse science and follow current, cutting-edge research into the solar corona.

Kinda like having the second best navy in Nebraska.

Killing my sales pitch, paps!

NEW EPISODE

I'm watching on Channel 48 in Cincinnati...

Not sure why exactly, but 15 minutes into this program it blipped, and then started all over from the beginning...

...Highly unusual

I do hope that they allow the ending to mess up their schedule, and go until 10:15.

Money-making idea for your employer. A strip club in the Total path was charging 100 bucks to park in their lot and $50 bucks to pitch a tent on their property (insert your own joke there).

A golf course can hold thousands of people.

We drove about a hour and 15 to Sparta TN to experience this.....totality.
